Kristen finally turned the TV off at 2:30 in the morning. Rusty lied next to her, pushing her to the wall and away from him. His back toward her. It had been a long stressful day. Rusty and Kristen kept fighting all day about stupid things. She slowly drifted off to a restless sleep.





She stood there in front of a mirror in just a sports bra and some oversized sweat pants. Her stomach protruded profoundly from her body. She lowered her hands to touch it. It was harder than rock. There was no way that she had put on THAT much weight in 5 months.. not that fast.

She knew she was pregnant. Thats why he told her to leave his life. He had always been afraid of kids.



She thought back to the time when she told him that she didnt feel quite right. They went to the doctor and told her she was pregnant. She knew she was in big trouble. She gathered her thoughts and went to tell Rusty.

" How could you be PREGNANT?!", he spat, "have you been cheating on me or something?! that is no WAY that is my kid!"

" no i havent cheated! i Promise you! I'm so sorry.. I know you didnt want kids. It was a mistake..."

He cut her off, " You're damn right it was a mistake! It was a mistake allowing you into my life! And now you ruined it! I want you gone. Get you're shit out of my house and call you're mother. I wont have you in my family anymore."





She started to cry softly. She would never want to ruin his life. Not like that. But he wanted to leave her, and for her that was too much. She loved him.

She woke up, feeling of her stomach. It was small and squishy. She wasn't really pregnant, it was all a dream! ..but it seemed so real, too real. She fell back asleep.







She woke up with her mother baking in the kitchen. The smells made her insanely naucious. She rushed for the bathroom. When she got back up, she heard a baby cry. She followed the sound to the room she woke up in. There sat in the crib a baby, not a year old yet.

The baby had a small patch of blond hair and big beautiful eyes. The baby's deep rouge lips in a pout, she must be hungry. After all, Kristen knew she was. She bent over the crib to pick her up and sat her on her stomach. Confused for a minute, Kristen turned around to a mirror to find that she was pregnant again.

How could she be pregnant! She doesn't even know how she got pregnant again or who the father of this baby is! Kristen fell to the floor sobbing when her mother walked in.

Her mother kneeled next to Kristen. " What's the matter, hun? Why are you crying?"

" I don't want this! What is wrong with me?!", crying still; Kristen got angrier, " WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME!!!" she screamed.

The baby, startled by the yelling, started crying again.

"Now, now." mother said as she picked the baby up, " let's calm you down and get some food in you."

" You talking to the baby or me?" Mother just looked down from her then back to the baby. " I was talking to the both of you."

Kristen got up and went to the livingroom. The baby was lying in the port-a-crib. It looked so strange to her. If she would have been at someone else's place, she wouldn't have thought that was her kid. The kid looked so innocent, and Kristen knew that she, herself, was anything but.







She woke up sitting straight up in the bed. She was breathing so hard it woke Rusty up. She clung to him like she was afraid he would disappear.

"You wouldn't leave me would you?" she asked.
