Links in Public and Private Site Areas
Public areas include, but are not limited to, Vampire Rave profiles, portfolios, journals, comments, site forum, society forum, and VampBox.
Private areas include, but are not limited to, Vampire Rave messages.
Generally speaking, posting links is acceptable. There are circumstances under which posting links is not acceptable. The following is not an all-inclusive list:
Links to commercial sites
Anything that smells of spam
This area is a gray one, and all decisions are made by the Administration on a case-by-case basis. Decisions of the Administration are final.
If a member is a Vampire Rave advertiser, it is generally acceptable that the member may post links to their commercial endeavors on their personal pages (profile, portfolio, journal, etc). However, advertisers may not use the Vampire Rave Message Center to spam Vampire Rave members.
Any use of the Message Center other than direct, personal communication may be considered spam. Do not message Vampire Rave members you do not know concerning off-site topics. It will be considered spam and your membership may be deleted. This policy includes chain letters and other such frivolous messages. |
