Passwords and Account Lockout
Vampire Rave has safeguards in place to protect your account from unauthorized access. However, no safeguard will protect your account if your password is not secure.
Never do any of the following:
Log onto Vampire Rave via a public terminal and then fail to log out.
Use password completion schemes like auto-complete.
Give your password to anyone, including Vampire Rave Administrators.
No member of the Vampire Rave administration will ever ask for your password. If someone asks for it, they do not represent Vampire Rave.

One of the safeguards in place to protect your account from unauthorized access is Account Lockout. After 3 failed login attempts, your account is locked for 10 minutes. No one will be able to log in, whether the correct password is supplied or not.
Account lockout prevents people from running scripts that are designed to guess your password by trying millions of password combinations. With account lockout such scripts would take hundreds of years to complete.
If you try to log in and your account is in lockout, it means someone has been trying to access your account. After 10 minutes has expired you can log in. |
