People advocate many things in many ways. Many stand behind the beliefs that they have and some have even died as a result. Many Christians have died for believing in Christ. In the Salem Witch Trials all were wrongly accused for being witches and burned at the stake. Though they were later pardoned it was far too late.

There are millions of people that fight for the many different communities and lack of rights for all people. Each day thousands if not millions gain a voice as well as stand up for themselves and begin the fight for rights. Being part of change is something that many always want to be part of but never know how. After seeing how they see that they can stand up for what they believe in and when one stands in confidence for what they believe in they gain more confidence and for those they are fighting for.

Over the centuries many have fought for equality for all people regardless of race, sexuality, religion and many other things. In turn, many more have come to realize that it is okay to be of a different race, religion and eventually sexuality. The fight for equality will never end but things do and can change peoples perspective and treat others equally.

Judgmental people judge those who stand by people that “do not fit” in their eyes. People that are close minded and judgmental do not understand and may never understand that everyone is different in may ways. Many have other beliefs, religion, sexuality than them and will not always agree with them. Therefore, they will not learn anything by being close minded due to the their unwillingness to learn. If they have an experience with people that are different than them it may open their eyes and slowly change their perspective and eventually understand. But until then they will be close minded and judgmental. On the other hand, open minded people are quite the opposite.

Having pride in advocacy goes hand in hand. You cannot be an advocate and not have pride. To have pride is to have passion. Having a passion for something is to love what you do. Many show their pride when they are at protests, rallies in addition to everyday life. For some, having pride in whatever they do is something that comes natural for them whereas it is learned by others. Advocates lead by example and influence. They give a good example of who they are advocating for and influence others to voice their opinion in addition to theirs.

Advocacy is something that will always be around. It will matter to those who cannot or will not voice their opinions or do not want to voice their opinions until they are ready. Whether it be for Deafness, Epilepsy, Gay Rights, Animal Rights or the thousands of other things that need advocates there will always be a need for advocacy.
