I will only ask one thing: If you do not like me or wish to down rate-me, that is fine, do it. Do not, however, Down-rate my portfolio. This is not for me, It is where I remember those who I have lost, Or musicians who have passed. If you don't respect me, fine I don't care, but respect them.

Ashley E. Carruthers

September 21st, 1991 ~ September 23 2012...

My dear friend, Ashes has passed away.... She was in an auto accident and did not survive :(

I came to find this out after not hearing from her since earlier the day it happened. She was the type to message me every day, all day. Once it stopped I got concerned deeply and after time I knew something was wrong, so I called the police in SC yesterday, October 11th, 2012, to check on her, and when they called back the officer informed me of the accident...

Little mouse... I don't know where to even begin. You were one of the closest people to me in my life as long as I have known you... I can't... nor do I want to believe, that you are gone Ashes. Of all the many people who deserved life more than others, you were at the very top. But it seems life has to be cruel to us... and you were stolen away. No matter all the hell you went through in your life, you were always so kind, and one of the nicest people I have met in my life and could always make me laugh. There's much I could say, but then I would be writing a book about you lol. I will always remember you and deeply miss and love you. I'll see you again one day.

"Ms. Carruthers, 21, passed away Sunday September 23, 2012 from injuries received in an auto accident. She was born in Midland Michigan on September 21, 1991 to Winfield and Mary (Nielsen) Carruthers. She is survived by her daughter Avalon Carruthers; her parents Winfield and Mary Carruthers; brothers and sisters Austin, David, Anthony, Melissa, Michael, Crystal and Jonathon; grandparents Scott and Brenda Carruthers, Cecelia Nielsen, John Nielsen, Inelda and Steve Rienkawitz and Wayne and Gerri Carruthers and many aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by grandparents Maxine Carruthers, Louis and Carman Valenzella. Funeral Services will be held Friday September 28, 2012 at 11 am from Rivertown Funeral Chapel with Rev. John Tousciuk presiding with burial in Pinconning Township Cemetery.

Gods, how I wish I was with you.... you were the only true caring person in my life.

Evelyn Hackett

My Great-Grandmother, and second mother to me.... one of the best people I have ever known.... and what an honor it was to know such an amazing person....

Sadly..... she started going downhill in the nursing home last week.... she had a bad infection from not being able to get out of her bed, and she couldn't handle alot of meds....

We got a call from my real mother saying that my great-grand mother was asking for my grandmother.... and right away panic set in. We all rushed out there right away.. well, when i got there she wasn't able to speak, probably from the painkillers they gave her for her leg...

She really started to go downhill from there... for once all of our family, my uncles, cousins, everyone... we were actualy all together... We didn't get many responses from her.... well not many people did... She knew me right away man.... despite all the meds and pain, I was able to see how happy she was when she recognised me.... lol...

Well.... yesterday, March 26th she turned 89 years old.... man she saw it all, WWII, depressons, inventions, tv's, vietnam, hippies, hair metal, kennedy, 9/11, the first moon landing, she lived it all!

Well the next day, I was tired and needed to come home and get a little rest, so I gave her a hug and a kiss and told her in her ear I was going to go take a nap and that I love her.... and to close her eyes and get some rest as well, I hope to... well whatever religions right if there is one, that she heard me and understood what I said...

I came home to rest a while at 2 in the morning..... Then about 6 a.m my grandfather woke me up.....I swear the fucking world fell on me.... Today, March 27th 2007, at about 5:40 a.m. My Great-Grandmother.....she closed her eyes...... poor sweet lady.... god damn it I miss her -_-

Right away I went out to the nursing home... got in her room... just looked at her, walked over and fell to my knees holding her hand.... I have no idea how long it was for, but I know it wasn't long enough... But I know she ws still there in a different form, she's the kind who sticks around... and she was definatly in all of us....

I have never known someone so kind and caring, so full of love as she was, and I know I never will...she wasn't one of a kind, ohh no.... she was her own kind, the best, rarely heard of. I'm just so glad I was able to know her, and to be able to have been so close to her.

Thank you again for everything Nana, had it not have been for you, I have no idea where I would be in my life right now.... and I probably don't want to have an idea.... You will always be in my heart and mind, and you will live on through me always, until I am with you again hopefully.... for now you can wait for me there with Jenny, Skipper, great-grandpa, your parents, your two sons, and everyone else who's been waiting for you.

Bless you... you will always be the best.... And I will never forget all the love you showed me

I love you...

~Harley~

holy shit, I swear this on all my love for her, as I was messing with the font color to make this memorial, my light dimmed, I have one of those bulbs that they guarantee for like 3 years, it started acting really weird dimming and going bright, well it used to be hers... and out of just wanting to talk to her I said "Nana, is that you?" and I swear the bulb just burned out the second after I asked! its not an old or bad bulb or anything, and the power everywhere is perfectly fine, I checked every damn thing!!!! im so fucking happy! I know that was her!

Bless you Wendy, you're a true inspiration and example of how strong a person can be if they put their mind to it. I'm gonna miss the metal concerts haha!

I hope your suffering has finaly come to an end.

Peter Steele

Steele passed away in April 14, 2010, due to a heart failure. In the official band website, there's a message to the fans and community to invite them all for posting condolences.

Petrus T. Ratajczyk (January 4, 1962[1] – April 14, 2010), better known by his stage name Peter Steele was the lead singer, bassist, and composer for the Gothic metal band Type O Negative. Steele, who stood 6' 7" (201 cm) tall, had a low, bass-baritone heavy voice, which is one of the most recognizable features in Type O Negative's music. Before joining Type O Negative, he played for the metal group Fallout and the thrash band Carnivore.

As the frontman for Type O Negative, Steele was known for his vampiric looks, rich bass-baritone vocals, and a dark, often self-deprecating sense of humor. His lyrics were often intensely personal, dealing with subjects including love, loss and addiction.

Steele credited Black Sabbath and The Beatles as his key musical inspirations.

The band “Type O Negative” was formed in 1990 in Brooklyn, New York, when already achieving a platinum album by 1993. Their romance, depression and death themes make them not only a gothic metal band but more of a doom metal and thrash metal band which earned the nickname “The Drab Four” thanks to the issues above they dealt with.

Steele was born in Brooklyn, New York. He is of Polish, Icelandic, English, and Russian heritage. Steele was equally known for his dark, deadpan humor, being remarkably self-deprecating for a musician and clinical depression; he had occasionally received psychiatric treatment for the latter. There were unconfirmed rumors at one point of Steele's death after the band website posted an image of a tombstone bearing his name and the dates 1962-2005. According to an article dated May 14, 2005, Steele was not dead; the gag was related to their fresh signing with SPV Records. The website discontinued the tombstone picture in October 2005. However, Steele had indeed disappeared for an extended time with no explanation from the band or management. Rumors of his death, terminal illness, and other speculations increased until the mystery was dispelled on the 2006 DVD Symphony for the Devil. Included in this DVD is an interview in which Steele briefly mentions his incarceration in Riker's Island and "the psych ward at Kings County Hospital", both stints apparently caused by his heavy substance abuse, for which he also served time on probation. Additionally, Steele was admittedly very bitter towards his sisters for what he perceived to be a betrayal of sorts that led to his jail time. This situation was incorporated into "Tripping A Blind Man" on Type O Negative's 2007 album, Dead Again.

Steele made his final recording on the 2007 album Dead Again. He later revealed on MTV's Headbangers Ball that the new alliance with SPV Records was probably his favorite thing about Dead Again from a production standpoint.

Peter Steele died of heart failure on April 14, 2010 at the age of 48

Ronnie James Dio

(July 10, 1942 – May 16, 2010)

He was an American heavy metal vocalist and songwriter. He performed with Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell, and his own band Dio. Other musical projects include the collective fundraiser Hear 'n Aid. He was widely hailed as one of the most powerful singers in heavy metal, renowned for his consistently powerful voice and for popularizing the "devil's horns" hand gesture in metal culture. He was collaborating on a project with former Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Vinny Appice, under the moniker Heaven & Hell, whose first and only studio album, The Devil You Know, was released on April 28, 2009. He died of stomach cancer on May 16, 2010

Dio is a legend of heavy metal. He has recorded with some of the greatest bands in the world including, of course, Black Sabbath and Rainbow. His solo albums are just as incredible.

In 1980, Dio sang the tracks "To Live for the King" and "Mask of the Great Deceiver" on Kerry Livgren's solo album Seeds of Change. Dio, who was between stints as singer for Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow and Black Sabbath, later proved somewhat controversial among Livgren's Christian fans, as Black Sabbath and Dio were then perceived as "satanic" by many Christians. Dio said in an interview that he did not consider the album to be a "Christian" album and had performed on it as a favor to Livgren.

In 1982, the mixing of the live album Live Evil led to Dio and drummer Vinny Appice quitting the band to form the band Dio.

In 1997, Dio made a cameo on Pat Boone's In a Metal Mood: No More Mr. Nice Guy, an album of famous heavy metal songs played in big band style. Dio can be heard singing backup on Boone's take of the Dio song, "Holy Diver".

In 2000, Century Media released Holy Dio: Tribute to Ronnie James Dio, an album featuring a number of covers by mainly power metal bands.

Tenacious D has written a tribute song entitled "Dio" that appears on their self-titled album, Tenacious D, that calls for the singer to "pass the torch" on to them. Reportedly, Dio approved of it, and had Tenacious D appear in his video "Push". He also appeared in the film Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, playing himself. However, on VH1, some have interpreted small clips of an interview with him as expressing resentment at the idea that he needs to "pass the torch" and seemed uncertain that Tenacious D is worthy of such an honor. When viewed in full, this interview is clearly done in good humor.

In 2005, Dio was revealed to be the voice behind Dr. X in Operation: Mindcrime II, the sequel to Queensrÿche's seminal concept album Operation: Mindcrime. His part was shown in a prerecorded video on the subsequent tour, and Ronnie appeared onstage to sing the part live on at least one occasion (both shown on the Mindcrime at the Moore DVD).

During September 2005, Dio toured Siberia and Russia's far east, kicking off in Khabarovsk.

In October 2006, it was confirmed that Dio would be joining Black Sabbath members Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and former Black Sabbath drummer Vinny Appice to tour under the moniker Heaven & Hell, which was the title of the first Dio era Black Sabbath album. They chose the name Heaven & Hell as Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler are still in the Black Sabbath band with Ozzy Osbourne and felt it was best to use a different moniker for the Dio version of the band. Original Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward was to be involved in this project, but he later withdrew. In 2008 the band completed a 98-date world tour.

In 2006, Dio appeared in Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny playing himself. He plays a small role at the beginning of the movie, where Lil' JB, played by Troy Gentile, is angry because his father, played by Meat Loaf, won't let him play rock because he thinks it's the devil's music. Lil' JB then prays to a poster of Dio to help him out. Dio comes to life and urges him in song to "leave his oppressive neighborhood" and head to Hollywood.

On January 17, 2007, he was inducted into the Rock Walk of Fame at Guitar Center on Hollywood's Sunset Boulevard.

"Today my heart is broken, Ronnie passed away at 7:45am 16th May. Many, many friends and family were able to say their private good-byes before he peacefully passed away. Ronnie knew how much he was loved by all. We so appreciate the love and support that you have all given us. Please give us a few days of privacy to deal with this terrible loss. Please know he loved you all and his music will live on forever."

- Wendy Dio

Dio's career spanned six decades, from 1957 to 2010, and became known as one of the most powerful and unique voices in rock music.

He was inducted to the Cortland City Hall of Fame in 2004, and also has a street named after him called Dio Way in Cortland,NY.

Classic Rock Magazine awarded Dio with the "Metal Guru Award" at their yearly "Roll Of Honour" awards ceremony in 2006.

On January 17, 2007, Dio was inducted into Guitar Center's Rock Walk of Fame in Hollywood, CA.

Dio was named "Best Metal Singer" at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards in April 2010 for his work on The Devil You Know, making him the oldest recipient of this award.
