BornToTheDarkness's Profile at Vampire Rave.

Where to begin?

We are born into the Darkness.

Then we eventually return to it.

They say time heals all wounds
But my curse is an hourglass
I bleed beneath the moon
From the kissing slivers of the past

When darkness falls I see your face
Ripped from another time and place

I fear the sound
Of your voice
Will never reach me

When daylight dawns I lose your face
To the burning sun full of hate

Your name is spelled with scars
As if I could forget your name
I promised you the stars
But you burned away with cleansing flames

I wear this crown of guilt and tragedy
Bury me with the thorns of Melody
I wear this shroud of shame and misery
Bury me with the thorns of Melody

THE THORNS OF MELODY

The enemy wears my own face
Ripped from the time of our solace

I fear the sound
Of my voice
Will never reach you

Skeletal fingers claw my face
Stained with crimson red and disgrace

Will my stone speak the truth
That I loved you beyond the grave?
But our innocent youth
Was pulled deep under those frigid waves

I would have died beneath your staves
Don’t let me go without your grace

I know the sound
Of my voice
Will never reach you

Won’t you come and see me today?
Leave bouquets of thorns on my grave

I wear this crown of guilt and tragedy
Bury me with the thorns of Melody
I wear this shroud of shame and misery
Bury me with the thorns of Melody

THE THORNS OF MELODY

The thorns of Melody
Still remains of her song
The thorns of Melody
Are all I’ll ever know
The thorns of Melody
Are buried with my bones
The thorns of Melody
Are all I’ll ever know

I wear this crown of guilt and tragedy
Bury me with the thorns of Melody
I wear this shroud of shame and misery
Bury me with the thorns of Melody

THE THORNS OF MELODY

Mistress Darkness, my own love
Your primal need beyond and above
The chorus of the prey still screaming
Asleep ‘neath the deep not dead but dreaming
Cruel Madame Death touched my heart
Buried deep underground til we part
With your tarnished riches of bone shards
Twisting within our throes in the dark

The fragile grasp of time
Is swallowed like sweet wine
That pour betwixt your breasts
The place where I’ve lain to rest

Countess Madness, my own curse
Infestation of this poisoned verse
The hounds of Hell are surely hunting
Sport of the kill in effigy, burning
Vile Maiden Love devour me
Thus is the path to my disease
Carpathian funerals awash
In snowflakes tainted by the touch of God

For you, I shall die
A thousand times
A murder of crows
Weeps for the loss
Of two hearts
Lost in the storm

For me, will you die
A thousand times?
Your flock of ravens
Will never know
That two hearts
Are henceforth severed

Duchess Demise, break my will
Just open the earth on whence I kneel
‘fore troubled shores water’s churning
To break upon the rocks without warning
Pure driven wrath, forced me down
To submit to you without a sound
Of torment wrought on the rack of pain
But I will resist for the cleansing flame

For you, I shall die
A thousand times
A murder of crows
Weeps for the loss
Of two hearts
Lost in the storm

For me, will you die
A thousand times?
Your flock of ravens
Will never know
That two hearts
Are henceforth severed

Is there hope inside the grave
When each day fades to lifeless gray?
Endless night beyond the vale

Your touch is as cold as death
Eons I have mourned but never wept
Dead hearts withered and impaled

Consort Lilith, know the morn
Arrives with haste and such uttered scorn
Until dusk, I will be here waiting
Among the Yew and rose, creeping
Crowned Cupid’s fool, grim with hope
Burns infernal at the end of the rope
I will feed my fire with my shame
Just to light your way to my remains

Abrasive sands of time
Blow across twisted rhyme
That will echo for you
Tried and cruel

For you, I shall die
A thousand times
A murder of crows
Weeps for the loss
Of two hearts
Lost in the storm

For me, will you die
A thousand times?
Your flock of ravens
Will never know
That two hearts
Are henceforth severed
