I don't really like to talk about myself, but after a couple of nudges from my sister, I suppose it's about time I put something up here.

So, who am I? Sometimes I am not sure, for I am always learning and ever expanding the limits of my interests and knowledge of the world around me. First and foremost I can say that I am a mother. Nothing in my life will ever be as important to me as my children. But I find that my usefullness as a mother coming to a close. My children are getting older and no longer need me to hold their hands through every step they take. So, it's time to find things that are just for me.

I love music and movies, especially sci fi. I love animals of all kinds and really good jokes. I have learned in the latter part of my life not to take everything so seriously as well not to dwell on the things that are serious that I can do nothing about. I know that in life you have to make things happen for yourself, you can't sit passively by and hope for the best to just fall in your lap. I have learned the value of an afternoon nap and a long shower. I am open minded and non-judgmental. There's no point in being an ass just for the sake of being an ass. And if I had the money to do anything I wanted, I would hire a team of sharp shooters, go to Africa and poach poachers.

Take what you will from that, because I am just not sure what else to write at this time. Maybe I am being to distacted by 'Shark Week'. LOL
