Greetings! My name is Michael - also known as "Mike" and "Aedan". Currently live in Oregon. Been on undernet vampires - oh golly - since you had several choices of server to actually get on undernet. I've been on the internet in general since about 1988.
My fascination with Vampires in general goes back to when I was very young. Anyone remember the show from the late 70's/early 80's "Cliffhangers"? They had one that was a vampire serial in there as well. Loved the theme song - Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata (first movement). Learned to play the song just because of that show... so soulful... so dark... so beautiful...
I went through all of the "normal" (seems odd to use that term - maybe "typical" is better) stages with the normal likes - Vampire RPG - the usual battery of vampire movies - the Anne Rice novels - etc.
So about me personally - went through way too much school. Have a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry. Long time fantasy, vampire, sci-fi fan with a deep love of history. Love historical re-enactment / re-creation. Married for 14 years to my soulmate - our son was born in January 2008. He's a little hoot - here he is doing his best "Jungle Jim" impersonation at the Oregon Zoo:
Several pets - one cat - three horses, here's a picture of Leith Machae (AKA "Mackie") the cat. He's SUCH a ham...
I also enjoy horseback riding. Horses are amazing animals - incredibly empathic, loyal, and eager to please. Here's "Vinny" - my Crabbet Arabian Gelding, and we also have "Princess Buttercup". She's a PMU rescue pony, so we're not exactly sure what she's a mix of. We know she's at least 50% Fjord, probably some quarter horse - beyond that - who knows. She's a sweetie though, but not ready to ride yet.
I love to travel - went to England and Wales this past year. I'll be adding more photos to my portfolio as time goes by, but I wanted to put a couple of inspirational ones here.

Other hobbies include hunting, wargaming, and collecting vintage firearms. I'm an avid supporter of the Second Amendment and see it as the keystone of the American Bill of Rights. To put it simply, an armed individual is a citizen, a disarmed individual is a subject.
