In a darkened room I waited.
Asleep and unknowing if tonight he would come.
Footsteps outside my window.

Footsteps entering approaching my bed.
I opened my eyes from my slumber
My breath caught at the sight of him
Kneeling on my bed
Pressing his mouth near my ear
Quiet words telling me not to fear.
I have everything and yet nothing to fear.
His strong hands draw an invisible line up along my neck.
Sending shivers down my spine.
