Your eyes beckon to me, calling me
I feel my heart pounding and I know you hear it,
You promise paradise but your lips promise death.
You would bleed me out and leave me
Nothing but a corpse
Your smile lies and never reaches your eyes
I never before realized that death could look so good
Do I answer your call, or do I run and hide?
Dare I take the step and walk in eternity with you
Or are the promises your blood stained lips speaking
Just a pretense to leave me a nameless husk?
You reach out your hand, pleading for me to take it
I gather my courage and take a hesitant step
Right into the arms of the master of the night,
Your grip tightens, as if you know I would bolt
Now all plans of escape is over and done.
Pushing my hair aside, your breath fans my neck
And before I have the chance to be scared, your fangs sink deep
Instead of fear, I feel only ecstasy, your bite is like a drug.
Floating, falling, as my heart slows into death
I am barely aware as you slash across your heart
And press my lips to your chest, bidding me to drink.
What will I be like as a vampire, I wonder?
That is all I have time to think before the darkness closes in.
When I wake I will be as you, a creature of the night.
