"18+ only club, no dress code whatsoever, just be ready to party."
Inspired by Carlos Menendez and his successful, long running theme night which began in Miami′s "Velvet" nightclub, The Church provides Dallas′ most unique nightclub experience. The Miami "Church" still exists, although in a different location.
The Church, is located in Dallas′ Swiss Ave. Historic district. The building was originally constructed in 1899 as a trolley car repair station, and is listed in the north Texas Haunted building registry. While numerous paranormal researchers have confirmed that the building is in fact haunted, we seldom experience any paranormal activity.
The Church features 5 seperate rooms, 3 DJ′s, and a rooftop patio with an incredible view of the city. The musical landscape might include everything from Ambient Sounds, Neo Gothic and Industrial classics, Dark House, a touch of Indie Rock and Electro-Clash, and the occasional musical "surprise".
Past lunimaries include Trent Reznor & Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Korn, Disturbed, Depeche Mode, Lords of Acid, Dita Von Teese, Midori, and Front 242. Joan Jett actually filmed the "I Love Rock & Roll vodeo in the building. If you happen to catch it late some night on MTV or VH-1, you might recognize the two staircases on either side of the main stage. (The building has a unique architectural feel)
The Church hosts fashion shows and unique theme parties including the annual Dallas Fetish Ball, Skin Party, Midnight Mass, The Last Noel, Geisha Lounge events, and the annual "Fit To Be Tied" Corset party, featuring the designs of AMF Korsets from Los Angeles.
The Church continues to offer Dallas′ most eclectic nightclub environment. We welcome you to visit and enjoy our unique brand of hospitality.
Updated:
