I remember the last of my days when the sun set.
I lay at his feet, bleeding out in ebbs of flowing red.
I cried and he laughed at the stain spreading across the floor.
The light of my eyes and soul went out, blackened. Forever.
My soul screamed in pain as my dying heart bled black.
I reached forth to caress the light as it mocked my limp form.
The angels turned away, wings to shield them from the sight.
Blackening blood, a soul weakly shrieking. Death.
I mourned as my soul floated in endless abyss after abyss.
Time with no meaning, clock with no hands ticked irregardless.
Days came and fell and turned to nights, the moon unnoticed.
Floating nights to empty days wrought in the deep. Silence.
Then dark one came and stopped at my grave.
He wept tears of sanguine at my emptied shell and lifeless stare.
Leaned over my rotted soul, body of a wingless butterfly.
Bared fangs to dark embrace and life once more. Resurrection.
Awake to feel the night come alive, breathing into my soul.
My sire and I, he is known to the night as a Prince.
Night Song, Lord of the Evening, rescue my shattered remains.
Sweet prince of the blessed night is my savior. Vampire.
