Psychic vampirism. What exactly is it? Who is defined as a psychic vampire? How can one protect their self from a psychic vampire? It may all sound very mystical and in the minds of many just hearing the word vampire invokes images of a cloaked figure lurking in the darkness, sharp fangs pointing from their mouth ready to take your blood. Well psychic vampires are a far cry from their less than respectable counterparts.

Psychic vampires tend to be very secretive about their own feelings and in fact about anything pertaining to who they are. They try to avoid divulging any information about themselves. They are also generally obsessive compulsive they obsess about their own personal desires such as sexual fulfillment, gaining power both in business and social settings and the acquisition of money. They prefer to control most all aspects of their life. They are prone to extreme outburst of anger and rage. This may show itself even in the face o the most mundane annoyance in this aspect their fear of change within their life is an attributing factor. They may even lack a sense of humor. It is important to recognize that even if you don't exhibit any of these traits you may still be a psychic vampire and that even if you exhibit all of these traits you may very well not be a psychic vampire.

People who are very strong willed are generally "immune" to the effects of the psychic vampire though most people are not so it's essential to know how to deal with such a person. Dealing with a psychic vampire can be as easy as avoiding contact with the individual, but since this is not always an appropriate course of action it's important to know a few of the alternatives. One such alternative is the finger interlock method. The finger interlock method uses a combination of visualization and strength of will. You start by interlocking your fingers in two circles. You then visualize a white light surrounding your body in a protective manner. Willing that nothing can harm you, most specifically the psychic vampire you are trying to protect yourself against. Another way to protect yourself from the attacks of a psychic vampire is to carry with you a quartz crystal which you have specifically chosen for this purpose. Choosing the right crystal is important so it's good to give yourself options. Take the crystals you have and while keeping in mind your intent of use choose the crystal that seems to stand out most to you and if you feel that the crystal you have chosen isn't exactly right for you choose again until you find the one that seems to fit you best.
