Mariana Monteagudo's new work shows a consistent evolution in her sculptured dolls. The characters are ever developing, as is Monteagudo's use of textiles in their wardrobes. Strips of cloth overlap in stripes and textile strings are tied and woven for further texture, all providing "garments" that offer visual depth and mystery. The colours are rich and the new array of characters offers again a wide variety of personality.
