A mutant ability to regenerate enabled Wolverine to survive an experimental procedure in which his skeleton was completely sheathed in Adamantium and his forearms fitted with retractable claws. Wolverine’s enhanced strength and reflexes are benefited by an extensive knowledge of various fighting styles. Initially a mysterious character, he confronted both the Hulk and the Wendigo.
