The series "Constantine" is based around the life of John Constantine, a master of the dark arts as he battles demons and other supernatural forces. The series is rather grim, showcasing the darker aspects of DC Comics.
Constantine travels across the United States, dealing with a variety of supernatural menaces, while in the background the Rising Darkness threatens to unleash darkness upon the entire world.
Matt Ryan plays Constantine, and while it was not officially a part of the Arrowverse during it's air time on NBC, it became a part when Constantine appears in the fourth season of Arrow. Ryan is currently slated to appear during the third season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow.
In addition, a 2018 animated web series, also titled "Constantine", will be broadcast on The CW Seed.
