“I saw his mind, I know what he’s planning.” Blue sparkling fire erupted beyond the throne, and a pin-sized black hole within enlarged into an obsidian disc, a portal to the sea above. Xero watched as first Sadrok, then Chuxor jumped through. Instead of focusing on the challenges ahead, Xero pondered the riddling message from the Zaï, and dwelt on her haunting beauty. He advanced through the disc, and in a mind-bending flash, flushed through time and space to the surface of the planet to find himself afloat on a treacherous sea.
