“I wouldn’t hurt you, Ignatius.”
“I know,” he said immediately.
“I would never hurt you…”
“I trust you, sire.”
Another pass of his thumb against Ignatius’s vein. Lucian hesitated, and then let go. “You trust me too much, Hanstrom,” he said, and Ignatius did not agree.’
