Teen Titans is based on the DC Comics superhero team, the Teen Titans. The animated series revolves around main team members Robin (from Batman), Starfire (an alien girl), Cyborg (...a cyborg), Beast Boy (a green kid who can turn into any animal, although they are always green), and Raven (A dark sorceress). While it is an action cartoon, the series is character-driven, with a focus on the main characters’ struggles with being teenage superheroes. The animated series characters are all depicted as being children or in their early teens, unlike the comic books where the characters are depicted as being far older.

Teen Titans frequently uses self-referential humour, and its animation style is heavily influenced by anime. On different episodes, the series' theme song's lyrics alternate between English and Japanese.

In mid-November 2005 the show was officially cancelled. It’s a great show, and fun for all ages!
