Ley lines are alleged alignments of a number of places of geographical interest, such as ancient monuments and megaliths that are thought by certain adherents to dowsing and New Age beliefs to have spiritual power.

So I was curious as to everyone's opinions of them?
Do you subscribe to the theory that they hold magical powers or heightened energies?

Ley lines are geomagnetic lines that surround the Earth, they provide rythmic frequencies that benefit those of a more esoteric nature. The Orient calls them "Dragon Lines". If one researches properly, they may find a map that calculates the exact coordinates and distance with the lines visible to the main cities of the world and how the energy is distributed.

The question that one needs to ask themselves is, what makes these lines so important and why do they exist?

When my wife and I visited St Davids Cathedral in 2010 it was a most unusual event.
There are a dozen trees that overlook the Church that were filled with Crows or Ravens their noise was unusual they squarked and dipped two landed at the brook that flows by the Church not twenty feet from me.
When we entered we both felt unwell, I had to leave, it was as if the floor was uneven and the images within were warped, like being in a hall of mirrors.
What fascinated us both is we chanced upon this place, there was no planned direction. A year later I found out this is the resting place of my ancestors. Of course, some say it is the Ley lines it is built upon? Myself, I am unsure but as this is true it is worth recording.
I will leave it for others to decide the truth of why we happened upon this place and why we felt unwell.

I believe I could help you with that answer Fallen.It is because electromagnetic fields ,whether it s a ley line or Leak can make people feel sick.Some feel it more than others because they are super senistve.

What some may or may not know is that these electromagnetic fields can be sensed by animals too. They will often show uneasness and other symptoms when detecting one.
I have done experiments wth this , and my findngs along wth the findngs of many others,have shown that this as fact.
Another nteresting phenomena is how some animals fnd water when it seems there is none.Long story short ,is that underground water is tightly lnked with ley lines .Mainly due to rock strata.And minerals in certain strata,etc...

There is more to the earth that science has yet to discover.

There absolutely is.And science discovers more and more of it every day.
There was a time when people believed that St.Elmos fires,along with many other things,such as ball lightning etc were ghosts and spectres.
Thru science,we now KNOW better..

It also helps support stories like Fallen's in that it isnt just a figment of the imagination...That there are very real and natural reasons one might feel as described when near electromagnetic sources or pathways.

Many thanks for the links, I am working my way through them. I have witnessed that dog thing where they bark at ghosts, makes sense, earthquakes and volcanic activity often make animals jittery. That at least would explain the feelings of being unwell but the Crows? no, that is something else and its equally well documented.

I feel we are only beginning to get a handle of some of this stuff Fallen..but what is so exciting to me,is that we are prooving that this stuff isnt just mental illness or imagination, and that ,while much is still unexplained and might never be,we still now know that there are forces out there that can and DO support what we feel and their affects on us .

In the end though,whos to say that these lines do not act as a type of communication line in some manner.THATS what I have been going after for so long..
OR at least some kind of evidence to support the idea..

From bacteria using magnetics to migrate through the mud, to people who are etremely sensitive and feel unwell around the ley lines..We might find ourselves asking why some are more sensitive to it more than others?Are we "gifted"? As in the paranormal sense?
I would have to say,no,not in that sense or that we are "special" because we can feel these things .Or it doesnt mean that these pathways are magical either.

I absolutely believe that ley lines can be used in a magical sense. They are a natural source of energy and witches and other practitioners use natural energy in rituals and spell workings.

There a great number "religious" relics, cathedrals, and temples that have been built along ley lines. Like someone posted earlier, some are more sensitive to picking up on these energies. So its easy to see why these sacred locations were chosen to be temples and such.

There has also been archeological sites that point toward native american burial grounds and sites present before the arrival of Columbus along ley lines.

I live in an area that is fairly close to a cluster of lines and you can definitely sense the changes. There are six of the cities oldest churches and cathedrals which when laid over a map of ley lines are all connected on the same line.

And our largest and oldest cemetery is built over it as well.

There's also a theory of "vortices" which are described as wheel shaped spokes of energy that spike where energy spreads out from certain points of the ley lines.

As for me, hands down, I think so.

It really IS a great subject.

The one thing I do believe is that these "pathways" are employed by all humans whether we are aware of it or not as far as communication of a nature(entrainment) that isnt over the internet or phone or other means we normally use.But again,I dont fell that is magical ,but more,just a part of the wonderous way our world is set up. Animals use them as well ,mostly in migration and directional guides.

.As far as use for witches,I wont really say because ,while not a witch,I find that no matter where I am..on a ley line or not,without ritual,whatever I "send out there" goes to its destination or gets its business done,either way.


The vortexes,yes..there is a huge one in Sedona Arizona.It is believed the sandstone(Scnebly hill formation) has a lot to do with its strength,and honestly,its a very cool place.The Tuaringas,in Australia is another one that rocks .

You mentioned graveyards Anj..I want to tell you that when emf passes through decomposing organic matter? it becomes stronger.And this might very well explain why people "feel" presences and odd feeling stronger in or near graveyards.

I really wonder if they have race memory, after all they were used by ancient sea farers to find land and as such were almost pets. Would it not be marvelous if they could distinguish friend from foe generations later. After all , there remains the tale that when the Ravens leave the Tower the Crown will fall.

I would have to say that yes,I think we do indeed.I think we do it every day to be honest.Our bodies are built to do it,so why not.I dont believe however,that it takes ritual to do so.

Ritual is only a focus or directional aid. If yours is different that is fine. It all works out the same in the long run. It goes under that old saying, "whatever works."

According to new-agers, the Ley line were once located at waist high and you were able to use them to commutate to each other. (Lemuria- Atlantis time) As we sank to the more denser third dimension, the ley-lines also sank into the earth and below the surface where they stayed for a very very long time. Good evidence of a collective consciousness is that many times we will see different people from different areas around the world who come up with the same idea about something at the same time.
I think this has to do with the geomagnetic lines(ley lines) and is an example of how humans are built to accomedate this type of communication .
