What new ad, and what layout are you using?
If you change the layout, it may make a difference. Also, stopping the page before it can fully load can help if using one of the... well, non classic layouts, because all you need to have loaded is the top bar instead of the entire page, like you do with classical layouts.

there is a new ad? try some pop up blockers. this sovles alot of my 'ad' problems lol
