I think ghosts is the one that attracts me the most because its not considered a myth, it actually gives you proof that there is something else beyond this life...
I am a ghost fanatic. But I don't know that I would call spirits proof of an afterlife, more of an energy manifestation.
I think all aspects of the "paranormal" are fascinating.
Though I personally don't think they're paranormal or supernatural. Everything has its rightful place in nature, whether its a bunny or a ghost or a vampire.
I am more drawn toward things relating to spirits by my own nature but I like to learn about everything.
I am a member of a professional paranormal team in Wisconsin W.H.I.P we travel the states last road trip we took was in Iowa at the Villisca Ax murder house the pics are in my portfolio. That night was he best night ever so much evidence spent two days going through them.
Awesome...must check them out...:) Energy is energy...like water is water..no matter what state of being it's in...;)
I am not frightened of the paranormal or other related things though...it's just part of life and death...certainly makes it more interesting than hanging around like a dust particle on somebody's camera lens..;)
But you guys think its a form of energy, or someones "Soul" that your looking at , when you see a ghost?
I think energy in all its forms is fascinating. I think mainly because I can see and feel auras and flows of energy ever since I was little. For a long time when I was little I didn't understand exactly what I was seeing and I especially didn't understand why everyone else couldn't see them too. To this day I love watching people, seeing and feeling their auras.
Haunted places can be fun and for awhile I spent a good amount of time studying them and visiting some. Most of what I found there was just energy imprints, like a broken record of energy, just looping over and over. Nothing actually active. A few rare times I did find something active and one time I got the crap scared out of me. It's a very interesting field of study.

Ive always wanted to study these places too, but my friends arent really interested in doing that, and i think its kind of dangerous to do it alone!
Some places can be depending on the sort of place it is. Cemeteries are usually easy places to look around and the older ones seem to have lingering energy.
Some buildings it can be illegal to be there so you have to get permits or what not to go there.
All in all, interesting. I like doing it too but like you not many of my friends are interested in going either.
I agree that it is not good to go to such places alone. Not only because of the possibility you encounter something you are not prepared to handle, but just the logical part that if you fell and were hurt, knocked out, nobody would be there to help you. A lot of places considered haunted aren't exactly kept up in good repair. I had my leg go through a floor once and thank God for the supporting beams otherwise all of me would have.
There are all kinds of research groups all over the world and many of them are open to new people to come along. You should try searching for groups in your area and see if you can go with on an expedition.

I believe in all aspects, but I believe demonic possession is the subject that interests me most.
My main interest is in ghosts and their activities. I just about watch every show that deals with the hunting of these entities.
I also have an interest in Demonology. Not to the point of wanting to join a "Satanic" group or to get into the black arts but my interest is more on the line on understanding why some demons desire to inhabit human bodies and the various stories reflecting this phenomenon.
Ever heard of a book called the Goetia? It's part of the 3 books of the Key of Solomon. (Greater Key, Lesser Key, and the Goetia). That particular one is all about demons, specific ones and their form and purpose. It's an interesting read though I would never actually try to summon one. That would be dangerous in the extreme. I believe I found my copy of the Key of Solomon from the library of congress archives and just printed the whole thing out, but you can also just download the file and read it on your computer. I'll post the link if I can find it again.

This isn't the link where I found mine, but it's still the whole book and you can read it or print it out. There's a bunch of preface information so you have to scroll down a bit to get to the actual book, but it's worth a look-see.

My favourite aspect of the Paranormal has to be the study on demons/angels and their corelating mental illnesses.
hmmm lets see well Shape shifter's are my fave because they can be clones of other people .
