I recently went out for drinks with 2 coworkers we were talking about fetishes and i revealed that i drink blood. well a few days later another coworker was giving me crap about not liking the sun and joked about me being a vampire, at which point the coworker whom i had divulged to says "oh you have no idea".

this got to HR i was called in and just siad it was a joke between friends and she was drunk and took it seriously

but here is the question if i had been fired could i claim discrimination?

I'm not sure this opens up much of a discussion but unless the blood drinking is part of your religion then you *might* have been able to but even then it's rather doubtful.

well the way i see it its a sexual perversion so it be the same as being fired for being homosexual

i found it lol. but no seriously that doesn't sound right. you can't get fired for what you do in your own spare time. it doesn't affect your work or your co worker or custormers at that so they have no leg to stand onyou could probably sue for unfair dismissal

I believe that it would be discrimination and you would have a case.
I think you would have a hard time finding an attorney unless you looked in the blood letting/drinking community.
