I read through the postings of Are We Free and I am shocked to see what some of you idiots said. Freedom cost a lot, in any country.
Freedom? What is it?
Think real hard while you sit at home behind your computer typing away, criticizing your country.
I want to know if you have inelegance to know what your freedom has cost.
Think before you say soemthing stupid.
I totally afre with you that how we got outr freedom has nothing to do with money,it has t do with what our armed forces got us by gong to war and fighting for all of us to have this freedom
"Freedom is being able to slam a revolving door."
TwilightZero
Mortallover I am glad you agree with TwilightZero but you yourself have not answered the question and I wonder if you understand his reply.
hehe, ya Mortallover, i thought you would like that. XDD
A right or the power to engage in certain actions without control or interference.
Ah lovely Morey...
You call me, and I come running. Thank you.
As I stated in my last post. Freedoms that were given to us were earned by the bloodshed of our fellow patriots. Not just the military men, but even when the seperation from England the blood from the common business man, to the farmer all were trying to break the Kings grasp over our country.
Our will prevailed, and were were then a new nation.
Now over 200 years we have had these freedoms as a backbone in our culture.
I don't agree with all of my Governments policies and practices, and some things are better not knowing.
But I can go where I choose without question, I can choose whatever path I'd like to take professionally. And in exchange all I have to do is follow simple moral rules, that any common human would follow. I'll take that trade anyday.
I spent 6 years defending my country, and went to war for her. My country called upon me, and I was there before she asked me.
I fought so the people who whine can have a voice. Glad you are unappreciative of the efforts made so you can do this.
I love my country. There is only one reason on this little blue and green ball we live on that would give me cause to leave her...
and "she" knows who she is.
That is freedom. To be able to choose what I want in life.
Told you he would love it!
Impressive Dayryn, showed up the moment I posted this!!
Freedom... toutchy subject to talk about.
I beleive freedom is life in the sense that if you can still enjoy life then you are free.. For example if i was a POW(Prisoner of war) then i would be captured true but i can still keep my dignaty and pride because no matter what the circumstances are i would still have it. But as for the cost... in this situation i would probably have pain inflicted upon me by the enamy. I used this context as it is more easy to explain what i beleive.
I do understand that Freedom is not just war and blood. Many have given there lives in other ways for the right of freedom. A lifetime devoted to the cause of freedom.
Also can someone close this thread I feel it will be a dead issue.
