What times do you think are ok for you to use black magic?

First of all, I personally do not see magick as black or white. It is a tool. Like a gun. A gun can be seen as good in the holster of a police officer keeping the peace. That same gun could be seen as being used for an evil purpose in the hands of a thug robbing a liquor store.

That being said, I’m a little unclear. Do you mean “what time” as in astrologically, like day of the week, hour of the day, or do you mean in what situations or circumstances is it justified?

I could write pages on this subject and not do it justice. Remember what I said before, magick is a tool and is neither good nor bad. Much of that interpretation is based on the intent of the user.

As a witch, I was taught the “Threefold Law.” Whatever energies you put out into the universe will return to you threefold. I don’t believe this as literally as I used to. I take it now to just mean what you put out there will reflect back to you. Send out love and love shall return. Send out hate and it will return to consume you. We are further taught that doing things that harm others, attempts to alter their free will, etc. will always have a karmic price attached to them.

I think the first thing we must do is define “black magic.” I have already stated that I do not see magick as black or white, but I do understand what you mean, at least I think I do. You are asking when is it ok to do magick that in some way brings upon us a karmic price to be paid, as I stated above. If that is so, maybe if you shared a hypothetical situation, I might be able to help you with some perspective. Let me share a real life situation from about twenty years ago that may also help.

A friend of mine was in a bad situation. She lived with her boyfriend who was extremely controlling, emotionally abusive and physically abusive. To make things worse, he was a law enforcement officer, so the police were of little help. She signed her paycheck over to him each week and he had complete control. One day she had had enough and asked for our help to escape. We arranged to pick her up in two large vans and move her in with a coven member unknown to her boyfriend.

He had made threats in the past if she ever did this, he would hunt her down and she would be sorry. He was unstable enough that we figured he would go off the deep end and not let up if she did move out. I decided to work a bit of magick on my own. I decided to do a binding, which would interfere with his free will, but would hopefully protect my friend. (The coven as a whole had done much magically for her protection too.) I did the ritual and we moved her out the next day. It worked like a charm and none of us ever heard from him again. However, the story does not end there as I had a karmic debt to pay. The night after we moved her out, I got pulled over and hit with $250 speeding ticket. Now, I never get tickets for the fact that I had a shield on my car as a member of the volunteer rescue squad. It was the only time that shield did not save me from a ticket. The following week, I wound up broken down at the side of the highway needing a tow truck too.

Was it worth it? Absolutely! I would do it again. There was a price to be paid but I was willing to pay it to assure my friend was safe. However, the thing to remember here is that my binding spell drew its energy from my love of my friend. If it had been fueled by my hatred of her boyfriend, I’m sure it would have ruined me, or at least hurt me badly and long term. The hardest part of this is to be honest with ourselves about our motivation. It is easy enough to fool ourselves and lie about our intentions and motivations. The danger is, if we do that, we can do great harm to ourselves. So great, that any benefit will seem trifling compared to it.

Magick is neither black nor white! It is a gray area due to the magicians free will itself and the magician's intent actually which determines what direction the magick goes in. Be aware of the rule of three fold or tenfold. Whatever intention you set out WILL come back to you good or bad. So with the negative connotation of black magick. I would say proceed with caution.

Use the black anytime it's justified. That last word being the key. Magic will not come back to you 3, 10, or 1000 times if - you are using it for the greater good. Leave the ego at home when using any magic and you will be fine. The Law states: " What you create - you will experience."

Black magic to many is a means to (but not limited to) punish, or curse someone. Obviously there would be a good reason to do so or you wouldn't be wanting to use black magic. Eye for eye, revenge and all that. But this is an ego and emotional response. Not a healthy choice for using the black. Also helpful to remember that you (general) have no right to judge and/or sentence someone else. You need to work the magic so that the victim will get what they deserve but also will help them overcome whatever you didn't like.

Sounds a little wimpy but you need to get the ego out of the equation. Black magic can be used in any situation at anytime if you know the tricks.

The above law also works for the person you want to do the black magic to so they will experience what they created without you using the black to them. So, in many of these cases, you never need to use black magic! No need to.

I must say that I am in full agreement with BTJ on this.
Perhaps a way you could look at it is, like you would as a practioner of kempo..Defend or fight if you have no other choice, but only after all other options are exausted. And remember, what holds true for for you ,holds true for everyone.. whether we are practicing majick or not, everything we do..every action, every word, has consequences. We pay in one way or another even without taking revenge. So really, why even waste time on getting back at someone with majick when the universe will take care of that all on its own.

black magic should not be put into the hands of people who will abuse it. Or otherwise people who think its cool to have the image of being able to do it. its a very dangerous thing, and i have killed one person and nearly killed another. It can only be controlled by people in a good state of mind with the right intentions. Casting because you think its cool is just asking to hurt the wrong people as well as yourself. It should be used only for protection, and perhaps battle in the mortal or spirit realm. Remember you are influencing particles with your own energy.

Hey Evening , Thing is,it isnt up to us to say who should or who shouldnt use ANY kind of majick.Just because we might feel that someone might abuse something that is here for any and all to use freely.See,thats where some religious folk make the mistake of thinking, simply because THEY might use it one way, anyone who uses it differently "Shouldnt be allowed" .That type of thinking is nonsense.Seriously.Just who the HELL are we to say that about something that is there for any and all to do as they please with.
And if you say you have killed someone, then maybe you should be worried about murder instead of who should or who should use majick as YOU might?

It would be a wonderful thing is peeps would stop insisting that others MUST worship,or practice or wipw their butts just because THEY feel their way is right.

It depends as well on if the individual is using lower kitchen magic(k), "Paganism) or the higher magic(k), "Le Dragon Rouge, Greater and Lesser Keys of Solomon, Enochian Magic(k), etc. All these must be accounted for as a few of them do deal in the, "darker" magic(k)s such as with the goetian.
