do you think the song from queen - bohemian rhapsody is realistic or satanic, because of the word it uses sometimes, like:
"Bismillah" is the opening word in the Qu'ran (Koran) and literally means "In the name of Allah."
"Scaramouch" according to the dictionary means "a stock character who appears as a boastful coward."
"Beelzebub" is one of the many names given to "The Devil."
Lyrics
Is this the real life?
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide
No escape from reality
Open your eyes
Look up to the skies and see
I'm just a poor boy, I need no sympathy
Because I'm easy come, easy go
A little high, little low
Anyway the wind blows, doesn't really matter to me, to me
Mama, just killed a man
Put a gun against his head
Pulled my trigger, now he's dead
Mama, life had just begun
But now I've gone and thrown it all away
Mama, ooo
Didn't mean to make you cry
If I'm not back again this time tomorrow
Carry on, carry on, as if nothing really matters
Too late, my time has come
Sends shivers down my spine
Body's aching all the time
Goodbye everybody - I've got to go
Gotta leave you all behind and face the truth
Mama, ooo - (anyway the wind blows)
I don't want to die
I sometimes wish I'd never been born at all
I see a little silhouetto of a man
Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango
Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo, Gallileo,
Gallileo Figaro - magnifico
But I'm just a poor boy and nobody loves me
He's just a poor boy from a poor family
Spare him his life from this monstrosity
Easy come easy go - will you let me go
Bismillah! No - we will not let you go - let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go - let him go
Bismillah! We will not let you go - let me go
Will not let you go - let me go (never)
Never let you go - let me go
Never let me go - ooo
No, no, no, no, no, no, no -
Oh mama mia, mama mia, mama mia let me go
Beelzebub has a devil put aside for me
for me
for me
So you think you can stone me and spit in my eye
So you think you can love me and leave me to die
Oh baby - can't do this to me baby
Just gotta get out - just gotta get right outta here
Ooh yeah, ooh yeah
Nothing really matters
Anyone can see
Nothing really matters - nothing really matters to me
Anyway the wind blows...
Perhaps you should listen more carefully to all Queen's songs Lord Lucifer
yes I could... but I prefer having some doubs, gives me something to do..
It's not satanic at all. It sounds like you may be reading a little bit more into the song then what it really was. You have to also remember when the song came out what music was like and what the era was like. I think for the most part Queen's music doesn't really have a deep meaning [some songs do but I'm talking over all] I mean for God sakes they wrote a song about riding a bicycle. But they still kick ass! My absolutely all time favorite song from them is 'One Year In Love'. It was from the movie Highlander. I lOVE that song!!
Warning, the following statement will the reveal the author geekness.....
Bohemian Rhapsody was not in and of the Highlander movies or TV shows......
It was in Wayne's World (excellent)
Highlander used the Queen tunes:
Who wants to live forever
Gimme The Prize
Princes of the Universe
And Don't lose your head.
Thank you
HELLO??? I NEVER SAID Bohemian Rhapsody was not in and of the Highlander movies or TV shows, I SAID : 'One Year In Love'. It was from the movie Highlander.

I always thought that song was about Freddy Mercury's struggle with AIDS...
it's not satanic but it does refer to living in hell mental hell not literal get it
i like that song its good, if uve seen lee evans he does does a dance to the song its actually quite funny, welli thought it was anyway lol
ITS QUEEN! i dont think they could be anywhere near satanic.
I agree with mystique1975. I think you might be reading too much into the song. I grew up on Queen, mainly because my mom loved them, and I never looked at Bohemian Rhapsody as satanic. In fact, I've never even heard of the belief that it might possibly be satanic until now. I believe it was kind of like Freddie Mercury's coming out song...
i don't think mr. mercury had satan exactly on his mind at the time when he wrote it.
but who really knows. "doubt it is the #1 cause of accidental learning" lol
I htink theres more emaning to songs than we sometimes give credit... and thats because a lot of it is personal to the group or individual.
The best part fo this is finding your own meaning from it, and the effect the song then has on you.
Your meaning is your meaning, and you areall right in your own way, whatever you think.
Well, being the music fanatic I am, love Queen and Bohemian Rhapsody. Its not at all satanic. First, Freddie Mercury has a very mixed background, including Iranian. He was a very eccentric genius, and used his knowledge, his background and his flamboyance to draw attention. Just look at the outfits he wore, and he was bisexual, not gay...but you'd never know it in that spandex.....!
Yea, right on Echo.. here is a wee something I found about Bohemian Rhapsody, and what Freddie said about the song.
--oo--
Almost as soon as "Bohemian Rhapsody" was released, fans began wondering what inspiration lay behind this lofty and bizarre Freddie Mercury creation. In 1976, author Larry Pryce said that Mercury preferred to leave such questions unanswered. "It's one of those songs which has such a fantasy feel about it," said Freddie. "I think people should just listen to it, think about it, and then make up their own minds as to what it says to them"
--oo--
As far as the Arabic reference goes, well Mercury's parents were deeply involved in Zoroastrianism, and words like "Bismillah" do have a meaning in that religion. It would of been one of the words he had grown up listening too during his childhood.
I think that song is pure, unadulterated burlesque..its an opera, its a play, its a pure classic and the best song I think that has ever been writte. It captives the audience right from the first cue :)
WTF??? queen satanic... are u nuts ? queen RULE.
i never thought that someone could say this...satanic.....loool
Okay guys, what is the point of saying "it is satanic", or "It is not satanic" if you don't state why you think it is or not! This is like a kids fight, " Oh yes it is, oh no it';s not"
Get with it, and just say why you think it is or it isn't!
i would not say it or queen were satanic yes i think freddy had a mysterious side to him but so do all geniuses as for bohemian rhapsody i always heard it as it was written done wrong a bad crime wont be home an eye for an eye anyway the wind blows i always pictured a body hanging in a noose swaying in the wind hear it your way ill hear it mine thats why it is a classic its a conversation piece
Ok... what's with all the "It can't be satanic, because Queen rules" comments?
What would it really matter?
I, for one, definatley do not judge the musicians I listen to due to their religions.
I like Queen.... lol... But I don't think the song is satanic. I listen to other music, and some I'm sure is satanic... but I don't think that song would be such. ^.^
i don't think it is in fact I like Queen but you are entitled to your opinion.
