keano reaves would be the best
but i think the guy who played in blackula was increadable
Reaves didn't play Dracula, he played Johnathon Harker. Maybe you're thinking of Gary Oldman from the same film?
Bela Lugosi set the bar for the role all those years ago. Accent and all.
Yes I must agree with Ghawk Lugosi was the first had the part down well so yes he is the best. Although I did think the one from bram stokers as you mentioned was excelent aswell.
Butler...Hell no!
I liked the movie....but he was the most boring Dracula yet.
But Gary Oldman kicked ass......
He was evil but likeable, ruthless but romantic, and flawed but innocent.
That's why his Dracula is the best!
keano would make the best i never said he played as dracula
Christopher 'Frank Carandini' Lee.. Without question!
He was educated at Eton and Wellington College, where he won scholarships in classics (this man knew what he was taling/acting about). He made his film debut in Terence Young's Gothic Romance, Corridor of Mirrors, in 1948 (so from day 0ne, he was made for Dracula) .. A acomplished actor... One of the very best of all time...
Tim Curry! Wait no....that was Rocky Rorror and he was a Mad Scientist in it...
Regardless - they were from Tansexual Transivania.... doesnt that count for something?
if you want to go Tim Curry i'd be voting for him in the movie Legend. But thats a devil not drac.
for drac i am still inlove with Rudolph Martin, tho he played, technically, Vlad, not drac. in the movie The Dark Prince: The True Story of Dracula.
it was amazing, if you haven't seen it, do so!! supposedly its the closest we can get to actually knowing Vlad's Life. and it doesn't hurt that Rudolph is seriously hot stuff!
Gary Oldman by far......... simply because no one can play a villian quite like him. He can be so evil! lol
Sorry romman. Just can't see Reaves as Dracula, not after Bill and Ted.
gotta agree with GHawk, Bela Lugosi !!
But Tim Curry would have been great too.
i guess i havent seen the movie with the dracula you are all talking about i better though
here honey try this http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0021814/
I would have to agree as well. Lugosi is and always will be Dracula. The classics are the best. Oldman would be my second choice.
Bela Lugosi's dead, the bats have left the belltower.......
thats y i think he should be dracula
reaves: whoa hot bebe ur lookin babealisous
girl: why thank u count
reaves: whoa like babe may i feast upon ur neck juice
girl:totaly
*reaves plays air guitar*
lets start a new thread called
whoa its dracula
and right a vampire movie for keano reaves
i'm elated to see that someone else put in some props for christopher lee before me!
he definitely gets my vote for best dracula and one of the best actors. his dracula performance is the only one that has given me nightmares. he was pretty damn spooky as rasputin as well.
Half of you idiots, yes i said idiots have'nt even seen the orginal.. jumping on the bandwagon much??? ,... get your own opinions and back it up.. not just saying yeah he was best.. lamers
In my opinion the best was Gary Oldman. He has something in his eyes, I loved his accent and that wolf scene, amazing; heart breaking end..
The best movie (based on Dracula, ave Stoker! lol) and the best Dracula actor
Don't know what else to say :)
i think it would be good to have a teenager or something as a dracular. maybe someone in there eaarly 20s
Leslie Nielsen.....~grins~
Mr.Oldman..'cos well he is one of the best actors in the world..playing my fave character in one of the best interpretations of my fave story..YAY!!
Mr. Lee ...brilliant..simply brilliant...he used to stay in his make-up and costume whilst filming as Drac and go home and scare his wife and children...how cool is that??
Well sir since I am not an idiot my opinion is at it stands. Yes, Lugosi did set the bar for portraying Dracula when movies were first being filmed, but I have to say as far as modern day Gary Oldman did a fine job portraying Dracula.
Final Answer!!!!
I would have to list a few faves, cause I cant pick just one-Frank Langella-loved his presence; Gary Oldman-sexy and tortured, and Rudolph Martin was Dracula in Buffy-very hot
Due to the first few posts, I don't like reading them all, I'm guessing I'm copying people but...Lugosi
Bela Lugosi without a doubt. The others were excellent, but Lugosi cornered the market in my opinion. Keanu Reeves??? " Like, I wanna like, suck your blood dude. Like, do you have a straw or sumthing? Dude?" Oh boy....
gary oldman wasent bad but i think other prlly could have done better in that particular rendition
well, im not sure whos the best dracula......but brad pitt and tom cruise played really god vampires! (interview w/ the vampire)
