First of all, there is no such thing as capital punishment, it's a poor choice of words to replace death.
You don't bring back the dead and say didn't that hurt...
Now if you had a virus and it could be destroyed before it destroyed the body, wouldn't you?
Society is the body in question, and the ideal is that those in question are as such, questionable.
Is society willing to take the chance through rehabilitation, or does it rid itself of the infection before it can cause further harm?
Atleast it has become a standard in the death penalty to attempt humane practice, or atleast the humane interest is on the rise...
Let's also take into concideration the reason why they are sentenced in the first place, were the victims as lucky as to recieve a painless injection...
My opinion is that the dead are dead, and there will be no justice truly served or any measure efficient to replace what the family has lost.
But to the society to rid itself of an element that has shown it's incapacity to dwell within it.
I know there will be atleast one out there that will preach the whole intollerance of the different speach, ect.
But let me ask you this.
Would you want this individual to murder your family, your loved ones, your friends?
If so let them move in next door to you.
You can be comforterable knowing that our fine penal system had done such an excellent job in rehabilitating these individuals, and that no mistakes could be possibly made in the reprogramming of their minds...

No, i think i would rather put them out of our missery.
Why not permanent incarseration?
Well let's say they are innocent, a mistake was made...
You try spending the rest of your life in prison for something you didn't do...
And if you did do it, still what kind of life is that....
They don't call it inprisonment for no reason....
