Hello I was reading My MSN Group and I came a cross a board message that mentiond hermetic alchemy and I never heard of it.And that its practiced in the Jewish religion. Its said that The alchemist at the top of the illumaniti create alchemize vampires and other beings.
So Ok what is What is hermetic alchemy? and can you really create vampires and other beings?
hmm. i do remember hearing the words of it, but never really what it is. all i can really say is your best chance it to google/yahoo it and read carfully.
the best way to find out about something is to find things out on ur own.
You didn't create people or vampires from alchemy! The purpose of alchemy was to solve the riddle of the philosipher's stone and no this is not from Full Metal Alchemist. I have books and such that prove this. Alchemy was a religion that thought science and spirituality were mixed. They used ,what we use now as fermentation tubes, as their test tubes and beakers. They believed in many ideas such as reaction was what proved divinity. But it is not said that you create vampires!
I know what alchemy is i just ran acrossed this in a board disscussion i wanted to know more about it so that i may not be mis led and say something wrong on the board i just never heard of hermetic alchemy and since it seems every one on the rave knows about vampires and i dont i thought this would help me a little to know what it was.
hermetic alchemy.....
well hermetic scholarsused a very ritualised sort of magic and nature worship,
and alchemy is concerning the science of magic.....
or more to the point using religious focus and science combined to create a semi magical effect, the philosophers stone was but one facet of what they were trying to do....
but in the studies I have found(and real info on alchemy is amazingly hard to find) hermetic magic and alchemy have little to actually do with one another...and neither have anything to do with vampires, but I may be wrong.....I speak only from what I personally have found
Alchemy is Change. The Process of Change is the ultimate “Atom” of the ancient Greeks, the original building block of the Cosmos. All of the symbols of Alchemy emphasize the aspect of Change: the transmutation of the baser metals into Gold through a process of Solve et Coagula, Separatio et Coniunctio (“disintegrate” and “unite;” “separate” and “join”). Alchemy is the “spagyric art,” from Greek words meaning “to tear apart” and “to bring together.”
Since the earliest times, Alchemists have been interested in applying their Hermetic wisdom towards the perfecting of the body and soul of man -- the quest for Gold being left to the “puffers.” For the Alchemist, the first stage of the “Great Work” is the Nigredo, the stage of Blackness, disintegration, chaos, where the material (metal, the soul of Man, or what have you) is reduced to the “prima materia” or formless original stuff, before it can proceed to the second stage, the Albedo (whiteness), where the material may be unified once again. The Alchemical process is circular, alternating between solve and coagula on its path towards perfection.
Originally, “Alexandrian Alchemy” had as its purpose the transmutation of the baser metals into Gold. Although this goal was quickly superceded by the loftier notions of the Alchemical Adepts, it is instructive to review the original understanding of the old “Masters of Fire.” Aristotle laid the groundwork with his famous dictum: “Nature strives towards Perfection.” This was an article of faith that defined for proponents of the ancient wisdom the source of the whole underlying pattern of order in the cosmos.
in conclusion, it was the foundation of modern science as to say, but it had spiritualiy in it actually....
