This is a thread that I started in my coven forum and due to the many reads, but due to the many reads but lack of responses, I have chosen to give it a go with the rest of the fine people at VR.
There is however, a distinct possibility that I am a lame douche and this thread is crap. Either way, I am giving it a shot.
HOPE
Is hope truly the last of all the evil's unleashed upon the world when the jar, know commonly known as 'pandora's box', was opened due to trickery in an act of vengence?
That thing that keeps us going, but yet allows us to be satisfied...
fuck that, it allows us to be fucking happy about our present situation no matter how fucked we are.
Evil or gift?
When Prometheus stole fire from the God's to give to man, then he got us fucked, and him too, every way possible.
He was chained to a rock and had his liver pecked from his live body daily, repeatedly, over and over, for fucking infinity.
That is some sick shit.
But look what we became due to his act of self-sacrifice.
Ponder for a moment.
When Prometheus stole fire from heaven, Zeus took vengeance by presenting Pandora to Epimetheus, Prometheus' brother.
With her, Pandora was given a beautiful jar – with instructions not to open it under any circumstance. Impelled by her curiosity (given to her by the gods), Pandora opened it, and all evil contained therein escaped and spread over the earth.
She hastened to close the container, but the whole contents had escaped, except for one thing that lay at the bottom – the Spirit of Hope named Elpis.

Every god damned evil contained therein. And the last god damned thing was fucking hope.
So you see hope didn't escape. The evil.
So do we even fucking have hope, or don't we?
Is hope an evil or a curse?
