Based on the Information provided by the resources provided by these resources and any other resources that you may know of can anyone truly explain what really happed?

Back in 1692 In Salem Massachusetts two girl age 9 and age 11 the daughter of Reverend Samuel Parris Began to act strangely, Doctors who examined them could not find any signs physically wrong with them. This was one of the many that sparked These so called Black Magic, Witchcraft if you wish to spread through out that time which sparked close to 24 recorded Deaths and the imprisonment of nearly over 200 people being accused of Acts of the Devil…

Such acts of torture done to many innocent men and women on the bases of children dislike for them. Most of the trials where mainly done because of many being disciplined, jealousy, or just plan hatred for the person because they was different. Many was tortured or killed just because someone had a grudge against them and was accused of being a witch.

Many Questions are still unanswered to the reasons to why this happened. The fact still remains that this did happen. Looking back to this point in our history one can conclude that even to this day things like this is still going on because of religious reasoning for a escape goat or for things of other matters. My option stated above is what I get out of such things that went on during this point in time. It still remains that because there is no real proof of what is defined as being a witch many of these so called “tests” where merely created out of ignorance and so called “truths”. Let me go into detail of such ridiculous test. Dunking a supposed witch into water nearly drowning the poor soul until they either die, admit that they was a witch, or a act of god or what ever saves them and they prove that they are in fact a witch and would be hung by the neck until dead or burned at the stake.

Hmmmm and still i find no specific references to the smithers sisters who also were tried and put to death at the stake during the first salem witch hunts.

Infact, it was the sisters three that actually sparked the hunts in salem in the first place, so i guess, they might not be in the actual salem witch trials because they were tried and put to death before the hunts actually started. However, there is no mention of exactly why the hunts started, just that they did. Interesting.

i think the two girls were pulling a prank and it got out of control. PPL in that time were very gullable and as such many innocent ppl were killed...not much has changed today

The Salem witch trials have always fascinated me. I wish I did know what really happened, but sadly from what I have researched on, I found that no one truely knows what happened to this day. I think it's one of the greatest mysterious in the past.

and what of the scientific theory that the odd behavior could have very well been caused by a chemical reaction procured by a type of mold that was known to grow on their grain at the time?

most people are scared of what is different then themselves and back then it was a easy way of getting rid of the differences as to let the way that "they" seem fit survive. Just like when christianity first started they actully held both pagan and christian services together before the christians took over and burnt books and people that didnt want to follow. talk about putting the fear of "god" into someone lol
