Now, I've always been very conflicted about the actuall efficency of Hexing and Jinxing people. Does something like this actually even work?

And they ARE diffrent from a spell, right?

Have you ever had a hex/jinx work on you?

((And yes, in another forum there is this same thread.. I accidently created it in the same place, silly me.))

well I believe that it is possible that some one can put a hex on you, especially if one believes in such things and allows themselves to be Jinxed or hexed.

I mean look at the Voodoo world and alot of spells out there that people use all the time. Yet I feel you have to ALLOW it (believe in such things). So anything is possible.

Mmm, true.. I just don't quite understand the true diffrences between a jinx, hex and spell and all that.. I think I get its a kinda in your head thing though.

And I know what a spell is though.

In my opinion and personal experiences. It is how much you
believe in it or how badly you want it to happen. If you are the one hexing or jinxing and you keep saying to your self over and over again the hex you did on some one then possibly threw the power of suggestion and the subconscious mind it will work. If you feel that your the one being hexed and your afraid that its actually working then it will. Ok just my opinion.

they are all related as they all come form the same source, your own energy and, skills and power within, the result can be an hexe, or jinx, or a simple spells, it all depends on your goal when using magick

*LOL* My very Catholic boss jokes about putting the diarrea jinx on customers who are rude. And a co-worker swears it worked on her once when she missed too much work because she went to the beach and the boss found out.

Spells require ritual and ingredients and chanting and stuff. Hexes and jinxes are a fast-cast sort of thing in which you glare or wish bad things on people. Well, sort of...

I do not personally think it is any different to a spell- a spell is simply wanting your will so badly that you are willing to try and put it in "someone" elses hands (once again, no flaming please, just my opinion.)

Therefore, a jinx is a strong negative will for damage- I think you can only truly place bad consequence on yourself, by commiting "bad" actions, that you get punished by... but ONLY punished by yourself.

as far as I know one has never been put on me... but as few that wold do so would tell me lol I can not be sure.

Do they work.. I am not sure as I would never cast one.. that whole things returning on me thing.

I do not think they are different from spells I have found altho ritual to cast a spell is nice its not needed I do not HAVE to have a circle or anyhting to cast a spell for helping someone. And as was stated a spell is simply directing your will to what you want it to be.

A hex is a curse you put on some one . And I thought a jinxs is something you joked about . Like saying something or someone is jinxed.

some people think that a jinx is just bad luck LOL! yet a Hex is like a curse or spell being put on you in my opinion.

Yet I also feel that it does not work unless you actually believe in the power of someone whom may be trying to put one on you ..

This is rather interesting. As i believe it, a hex and/or jinx are still a form of magick. And in my opinion, magick is more about believing in yourself and the magick than anything else, so I would have to say that they work.

I have not personally been the victim of hexes, but i know some who have and the results have been rather unpleasant to say the least.

If a person believes in a spell or jinx it will work better, but if someone does not believe in them then they will either take longer or not work at all unless the person casting the spell is a powerfull witch or magician...

Thank you all for the very usefull feedback. I'm still a bit confused, but I've pretty much got the impression it basically is dependant on you and what you beleive.
