Oh-kay! Don't kill me, I started a new dream thread, but hear me out!
I have a different question...
Listen to my dreams:
Long ago I had a dream that I had found my way into the spirit world... the land of the dead, if you will..
I walked down this long dark path in some kind of twisted forest.
At a crossroad there was a large tree, and on it were many directional signs.
Infatuated with the tree I barely noticed the little girl standing next to the tree.
She was pale, with short, cherry-red hair and wore a simple white dress.
She tugged on my hand and pulled me further down the path where soon the path met a most interesting river.
The little girl looked up at me and told me to get on the boat.
I looked down at her, confused and looked back up to see that surely there was a vessel, ready to take us across the wide river.
I climbed aboard.
Upon our voyage, I realized that the river was not made up of water at all that in fact was a 'river of souls'. In my dream I visited the dead and even saw some loved ones that had passed away.
At the closing of my dream, the little girl took me back to the other side of the river and back to the tree.
Before I ventured off the way I had begun, she spoke again.
"I am the Red Lamb. When you wish to come back to this place, whisper 'Red Lamb, bring me back again' into the winds. You will see me again."
Then I woke up.
Several months later I dreamt that I was standing in front of a large black mirror, and on the other side was the same girl. She was slightly older and almost looked like me, dark hair and everything. She was screaming.
It would help if you could maybe tell me what these might symbolize here, but i'll get to the real question:
Dreams only last an average of three seconds, mind you...
So why do we remember all the details of a three second dream, when we cannot remember the slow, memorable plot of a lifetime?
In a lifetime you have time to remember events..
In a dream you have three seconds.
So tell me...
Are dreams a warning? A symbol? A cry from our true inner being? What do you think?
