Hi Everybody,

I got the idea to post this story after reading the post about the carpathia in the section 'the sandbox'. It relates to a book printed 12 years before the Titanic was lost and the vents that happen in the book are spookly simular. This is briefly what it's about....

In 1896, a man named Morgan Robinson wrote a book entitled, Futility, about a British ship called the Titan. The Titan was eight hundred to nine hundred feet long, with a top speed of twenty-four to twenty-five knots. Her passenger capacity was around three thousand and on her voyage she carried approximately two thousand wealthy people. The Titan sank from striking an iceberg on its starboard bow on a cold, icy April night. This haunting story about the Titan is similar, in deed, to the fateful voyage of the marvelous Titanic.

In conclusion, the mystifying Titanic is still lying on the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean waiting for another expedition to unlock more of her mysteries and treasures.

the titanic "accident" was no mystery, it was du to pour material and pour work , adding to that the ambitions of the captain and the ironic ego fo the oens wanted to win over the other ship and the blindness of their ears to listen to warnings of the iceberg.

Another interesting tale is the fate of her sistership, the Brittanic. Did she strike a mine? Was she torpedoed? How did she manage to sink so fast, especially since her watertight compartmentalization was improved upon after the loss of Titanic?

The man that wrote the story Titan was a reporter for a small newspaper,when his stories for the paper wasn't getting any attention for him,he reportedly had a nightmare about a huge ship sinking on its maiden voyage and thats supposedly how he came up with the name and story.

I first heard about the story about 7 years back in a paranormal mag, but never crossed my mind till now.
