--Someone once referred to VR as a 'pool of piranhas' to me. When I asked what they meant they said that VR was full of sexual predators. What do you think about this? Think it's true? Have you been intimidated by another member for sex?--

Please share any stories that have happened to you on VR. I felt this discussion was so popular I would continue it, so please don't just write the same messages as before.

I have never been approached for sex or anything like that. I run in a good crowd of friends. I would even let my son join this site if he ever asked or seemed interested in this site.

sexual predators on VR ...

personally ... i havent had a problem with it .. but

i can understand where some might ..

theres gonna be sickos ANY and EVERY where ..

something might want to consider ( present company not included btw) .. is that if you INVITE such behavior .. it WILL come to you ..

what kills me is people who PRAISE their own sexual attributes and accomplishments then wanna BITCH when someone approaches them for proof lol

im not condoning sexual predators .. before someone reads me that way .. but i also on the other hand .. have no use for someone who puts themselves out there with half nekkid pics and tales of sexual prowness, then expect to be treated like the virgin mary

if you cant handle the attention people .. FFS dont ask for it .. lol

I agree "sexual preditors" , are out there on this site and many others..... I hope they are in the minority.

They are every where, on the web, stores, you name it. We have to be careful that's all and inform others if we run into one.

but we also need to be aware that there is another equally low breed of folk out there .. and thats the type who likes to scream and point SEXUAL PREDATOR at any one they decide not to like or that they feel has wronged them for some other reason ...

PRIME example .... the Duke University case ...

I personally think that if a preditor is found they should be burned at the stake. Just my opinion.

I do agree with Rob, if someone finds one here on the site then they should be named. That way we can either keep an eye on them or have them banned from the site. There is no way of knowing if someone is a preditor until they show their true colors. It is unfortunate because there are quite a few children on this site. We , as adults, need to let the children know that it will not be tolerated and if they run into one , to let someone know so that it can be dealt with.

Here is a bit o' advice.use the block and do not leave any contact info on UR pro. Additionally, as has been said previously, do not use your real name or any personal information. No real pics of you to let ppl use to track you down.

You know what I have found and read and heard about is that a sexual predator doesn't always go to the person who advertises they go to someone young or someone they know is vulnerable and that they can manipulate.

Why would anyone other than the sexual predator be offended if people are warned and made aware of who they are? True we could get people pointing fingers for no reason and this is why it needs to be reported to VR. Another good way is to put that message in your journal and make it known that person scares you. So many people put all kinds of things about each other in their journal's here on VR why not this?

I mean the people who are talking about the names has a point, if you have a name like imafilthyslut or something like that expect to get a few people asking for sex or cyber or whatever, no its not right but what is someone going to think when you have a name like that, but to be honest no one can ask for sex from a person more than once because that is why their is a block link, so that when you do not want to talk to someone you just block them...

There is nothing being said in this thread that wasn't mentioned in the first one. No need to continue on this subject.
