As of today I have corrected and/or closed more than 6 threads containing plagiarism in the main forums.

This is completely unacceptable.

I will be suspending any act of plagiarism I find in these forums for 3 days. I do not care if it is from a previous time period; stealing work from another resource is not and never will be an acceptable thing to do. If you have multiple suspensions you can expect a longer punishment time- that will be up to the Dominar or Admin that finds your theft.

Dominars and Administration will bump up this thread as needed. It holds no merit for discussion but is an important topic.

Consider yourself lucky; if you were trying to publish the work as your own you could be sued.

I actually had a good question regarding this topic.

Basically you can use information from other sites IF you give your references. As in: you state the information is not yours, and who/where you got it from.

If you just cut and paste the information, then you are doing the no-no and will get 3 days to think about it.

If you cut paste, AND state that you got it from "Here" and give the web address or authors name where you got it- then you are ok.
