Hello everyone,
When I was 20, I had a visitor by the name of Chris, ask me to tell his wife - stop visiting my grave, I'm am at peace etc. I thought nothing of it and chose to ignore him, but ended up having the same dream for a week. It wasn't until looking through old photo's I found a picture of him and his wife - he was the best man at an Uncles wedding. I was the 8 year old flower girl, so as I child, he was easy to forget.
I relayed the message, knowing I sounded crazy, but the response was amazing; She didn't believe me at first until I gave her a description of what he was buried in, and what she wore the last time she visited his grave.
I am interested in finding if any of you have had to play the role of messenger for a deceased person? Did you know them? What did they tell you? How did the recipient of that message respond too it? Have you had anymore deceased, come to you wanting the same assistance?
The closest I have came to being a messenger. A friend was sitting at my kitchen table. I felt as tho my right side was being pushed. I got up and went upstairs and got her a deck of tarot. I returned and handed them to her. She went home, and I was just learning of Wicca, mediums, Rekki healers at this time. I hurried to talk to my teacher who explained I had a walk-in enter. Someone who had unfinished business on this plane but passed to quickly to finish it.
My friend did her 1st reading...within three days all came true to her sister who she read for. Her Sister gotten so scared she will no longer let her read again
for her.
My friend has phone me that day after she left, she said she found herself discomfort, for the features of the characterist of my facial features had changed.
This is the closest I have came to being a messenger.
i have had dreams about my dad and he was saying to get out of the place i was living,i finally listened and got out of that place, now im in a lot better place :D
I have not ever been a messenger yet, I think it would be an honour to be able to let someone know something from the deceased
When I was a teenager I had a dream about my aunts husband and he was telling me about suicide and not to do it....things like that. When I woke up for the day, and went downstairs, my grandmother told me he had died the day before and took his own life.
I did tell her about the dream after a time, she didn't understand why I would get that message. She didn't get it, but I got it loud and clear.
As much as I do in graveyards I haven't had that privilege yet but very much would like to do so. I also have yet to meet anyone that has in person. So it seems to me than one that has did it is very lucky.
my friend's mother has these messages but she tries her best to not acknowledge them so she never quite knows what to do with them. she doesn't talk much about it, except to say that it's BS and that it was just a coincidental dream.
I've never been a messenger, but I have played the role of dechipering other peoples dreams for them, explaining what they ment. I think I'm too irritable for anyone to want me to delivier a message for them. Lol.
i havent ever had a ghost come to me to send a message but i have had my grandma come to me in my dreams as a way to feel better about her passing.she made me laugh and realize i should celebrate her life, not mourn her passing
I have not had that role yet, in such a way, but I must say thats a very interesting story. I know people who have been in that position before and the story generally plays out in the same fashion. My biggest question to anyone experiencing things like that is "why be scared people will think you mad?" Of course I know the answer but it is indeed a sad thing that so many simply won't believe something which happens all the time.
An interesting side bar is the fact that many who deny such happenings are religious (don't get me wrong so am I) but the foundations of religions involve a spirit talking to people :)
Thank you for sharing!
a good friend of mine was kill in a drive by when he went to get milk and hes wife blamed her slef and felt freal bad for it will one night i felt some thing touch my leg i woke up and it was him he asked me to please tell anna its not her falt and no ,matter what he loves her and wants her to be happy any way she can and kiss her 2 daughters for him so the next day i went to her house and told her what happend and when i was done a big smile came on her face and she looked at me and said you are telling me the truth i can feel him here and im happy hes not mad at me now i can let him go so he can RIP!!
my father died 2 yrs ago, and my sister and i occationaly get dreams with messages relayed in them. the last message i got from him was he is going to help me to change my health, he is going to help me get better.
I have had people come to warn me about other people. One time a very distant family member came to warn me about my aunt. He said that she needed to slow down. A week later she had a heart attack...But this only happens every once in awhile........
Some times it is harder to decide whether to take a message or dream, or premonition seriously and act upon it, rather than choose to ignore it.
Either way - this is not one of those gifts a person can give back or take lightly.
I've only had one dream in the form of a message, a goodly number of years ago, before I was into Spiritualism.
He passed in the house I was living in at the time, I saw his face and he said 'don't worry I'm fine '
I mentioned the dream to his wife, and we both 'felt' the atmosphere in the house lift.
I have had dreams of my Dad talking to me advising me...I want to believe it was him but maybe it was my subconscience speaking. I try to analyze everything that happens for some logical explanation rather than instantly assuming a paranourmal experiance but I still wish maybe it was my Dad for real.
I know of several people whom have doen that pass on a message I wish I could I think it would be wonderful to help the living communicate with a deceased person .. I feel it is good to be able to have closure of some kind and that would be the ultimate.
This makes me wonder if I have blown off a visit from someone trying to send a message. I've had odd unexplained things happen that I may have just passed off as a dream. Interesting thought provoking topic.
yes i have...i kinda can't go into details as its not my secret to tell, but mine was alittle differant(i willing was a messenger, i was awake and just went into a kind of focosed trance)
Yes, my grandmother had me pass on a message to my mother. It was really difficult since my mother is a bit unstable I was unsure as to how she would take it. It took me a good year to deliver the message but my mother actually found some peace with the message.
It is an amazing gift but can be difficult.
I've been a messenger many times. It's a gift my Mother gave me b4 she died. She always explained to me what it was all about so growing up I was aware of such things going on. No, it's not always a simple thing to do but it's a job I accept.
i feel that it would be and is a great gift to have to be able to pass on a message from some one whom has passed..
i find it fascinating how most whom the messages come to are not that closely related to the reciever of the message.
do you think it could be because they would be too involved and people would think they are crazy? or maybe it could be that the deceased would consider it causing too much pain to the individual on top of their grief.
my uncle had visited me to let me know that he was at peace when he had passed away
I have had visions like these all the time since I was seven. My own grandfather had to tell me to pass on more than one message to my grandmother and my best friends grandmother had me pass on messages to my best friend who was overly grieving to her way of thinking. The grandmother died at 87 years old of cancer.
Wow, that is so cool!
i unfortunatly have not gotten the opportunity to be a direct messenger, however, my grandfather who is deceased on my father's side has visited me before. This is strange because he never visits my dad, and very rarely my mom, but throughout my childhood he has visited me. I believe it is his way of letting me know he is ok so i can pass that on to my dad.
I once did have a dream for a few weeks in a row of my grandfather who I loved dearly. Each dream he was telling me something but I couldn't hear him properly. I would wake up remember somethings but not all.
In the end I did remember the complete message. And it was for my mother. To tell her to stop blaming herself for her father's drinking problems and to stop blaming him for her sons. Also to prepare myself for my Grandmother's death he told me it is almost time for her to pass over, as the family is now ready to let go, all but me.
I did pass the message on to my mother and she had burst into tears. And told me as a child she felt it was her fault because she couldn't fix her fathers problem with her love. As for my Grandmother well I am ready for her to pass on and I know it is coming soon.
xXanarchyfangsXx – I have had a few visitors whom were I have never met, and found it extremely awkward to relay the message. It’s a personal thing, people prefer their pain and grief to be private, and if a complete stranger interferes with your personal life relating to a deceased person, then worse case scenario - things could go sour. I believe these people will go to who ever is receptive or open minded – if it is a member of the family (like my dad who walks into my dreams from time to time) or a complete stranger.
LadyxLorelei – this happens to me often, if you don’t hear them the first time, you can be certain they will keep coming until you do. The upside to being a messenger is the sense of relief and closure the recipient feels, it can be the greatest gift.
I am sad for you about your grandmother. It isn’t an easy concept to let a loved one go. I wish you well.
i dont think i have ever had any visitors or anything like that yet
Before closing, I would like to thank those whom have shared their experiences. Your thoughts and participation in this forum are appreciated.
Thank you.
