Kronstantinos book Vampires the occult truth, have you read this book and do you find it truthfull?
Iv read his other books and give them high marks.
What about this book made you believe?
I found his use of the dark magic “literally” very good and clear that magic is neutral only the user makes it bad.
I have to say this, I'm sorry for those that have heard me say it before.
If you have not read the book, please do not post.
If you find it interesting, but have nothing else to say- please do not post.
All of this type of posts do not add to the discussion.
Now I'm familiar with the author and have read some of his work. I don't know if I would say reading the books makes me believe, rather I enjoy the different perspective I get from the writing.
Kronstantinos book Vampires the occult truth so is this a good book?
Yes it is… it also historically path’ed the way for others, good read knowing it was not part of the pulp and ipsofacto
I have only found him to be a gothic form of Silver Ravenwolf. Dark magick for the kiddies who are to scared to really get out there into what its all about.
Great for people 17 and younger, but anyone who has ever read or developed their own thoughts would do better to go read the lesser key of soloman for something useful. Even if it is 2000 years old dredge.
matt1407, I am afraid the Twilight series is absolute fiction (and meant to be so), and has nothing to do with the kind of vampirism being discussed in this thread :)
I have read the book and found it satisfactory. I have also read some of his other books and on the whole believe he is trying to reach those who are looking for something other than what is generally available, those looking to the night side of witchcraft and the supernatural. I have met him at a book signing and spent some time talking with him about vampyres and his viewpoints and found him articulate and knowledgeable on the subject. I was impressed by his affect and that he is into the subjects he writes about. I would recommend any of his books to those who are searching for a path.
Ramsland. Cancer is in that book. But we dont speak of it. (Old topic) As for Konstantinos..The guy is such a sweetheart! Great writer too! His books on nighttime witchcraft are good too!
But lets not forget Father T. Sebatiaan and his wanderful works in the Vampire Codex and the sanguanomicon..
I have read two of Konstantinos' other books, but I didn't really like the topics that he got into. I don't approve of any sort of black magic, or anything that will harm yourself or anyone else intentionally or otherwise.
Please may I place a little advert in here for the vampire database:
All of the books being discussed here are listed in the database; we have seven volumes of Konstantinos' works including two editions of Vampires (The Occult Truth)
We also have Father T. Sebatiaan [et al's] books including The Sanguinomicon and links off to other texts of the Strigoi Vii community
Anyone wanting some heavy duty reading can buy any of these books, or at least track them down, from the links on each listing
the vampire of europe, true tales of the undead by montigue summers is also a good read. case studies of vampiric encounters throughout the ages
Montague Summers, on the other hand, touches on some interesting topics. The Vampire: His Kith and Kin. Good book. :)
I have read two of Konstantinos books and I could not put either of them down once I had read them, I am hoping to get more of his books hopefully I will be able to get the book You mentioned about his research on vampires. =)
