I have made major changes to how ratings are compiled for users. As a result, ratings have fluctuated quite a bit.

I'm sure the people whose ratings have increased with be happy, and vice versa.

Now more emphasis is put upon the status of the rater. The scale is incremental and works like this:

Whelp - 1
Mosquito - 2
Shadow - 3
[etc]
Master Vampire - 29
The Prince - 30

So, as a example, if a Master Vampire rates you an 8, that is the equivalent of twenty-nine 8 ratings. Or if a Shadow rates you 4, that is the equivalent of three 4 ratings.

This has all been done to combat rating fraud. I am attempting to discourage people from registering bogus accounts with the sole purpose of boosting their profile rating. It will also give more power to people here who have achieved higher status.

Under this new system, Whelps have very little rating power. Additionally, it will mean your rating is always in flux. As people who have rated you in the past achieve higher status, your rating is re-calculated.
