What is freedom? Someone told me that freedom is a metaphore when you got nowhere to go... or it is freedom when you have your own place to turn to and a nice salary so that you can go out and party all you want. to get as crazy as you would want to. or is it freedom to be able to say and do whatever you want with your family and friends? or is freedom when you have no place to go, no job, to be homeless. I find my freedom in a piece of paper, to let all my dark morbid suicidal thoughts floath without an end. My question is to you what does freedom mean to you and are you it's lucky owner?

"Freedom is just another word, for nothing left to lose. Nothing, that's all that Bobby left me...."
But on a less musical and silly note.... Freedom is really just an figment of our imaginations. We're always limited by something.
Yes I agree on that one, so what you're saying that freedom (true freedom) does not excists?
freedom, a fairytale to let the mind believe that we are not trapped by reality. what a sweet lie..
freedom is the ability to live without fear. Freedom is the right of every person on earth whether they are human, vampire, caucasion, african, japeneese, chineese, or anything else. Freedom is the one thing that should never be taken away!
freedom is a state of mind. a caged bird can sing think itself free, but still be in the cage.
I once said that only in death are we truely free... but that is not always so.
A child isn't free, because it must go to school... if it is not at school it goes home.
An adult is even less free because it has responsiblities now... a job... a car... a house... a family...
Death is not freedom... The only time someone can be truely free is in their minds. One can be anything he or she wishes, and the world has not boundries. Dreams are the same.
Therefore Freedom is a dream.
On the same token, those poor souls who are locked inside their minds are not free... they are not there by choice... therefore their mind.... their dreams... have become their cage.
@mistude thats it you hit the Nail for me as well i could not write it better with my own Words..
i agree with mistude also but lets face it some place will not let have or freedoms such as school... if i try to ware the wrong kind of cloth as they call it or use the wrong kind of words i get in trouble.... so u have freedom in ur mind but to me there is no freedom someone always has a leash on u.!
I believe freedom is being yourself no matter what anyone says. People may say you are imprisoned in their cells, but who's to say that you truly are but yourself? And why wouldn't you still be yourself if you are imprisoned? Just because you aren't literally free doesn't mean you aren't spiritually, emotionally, or figuratively free, you are only hindered. That's what I believe...
well, i'd have to say that i've found a lot of freedom to be myself here at the Rave.
I agree that freedom is what you make of it in your own mind.
Even a caged bird will still sing.
Freedom is a divine right to all men. It is yours mind body and soul. You are free to do as you wish with what you wish and with whom but, remember there are and always will be a Penalty for your choices good or bad. It is up to you to weigh out what matters most.
"a caged bird can still sing itself free"
but the bird will remain caged wether it sings or not. It can feel free by its singing but it shall never fly...
"death is not freedom"
maybe not but death doesn't hold responsebility upon people, death is timeless and emontionless. And not to feel anymore can be liberating for persons.

Freedom for me is sort ov letting my mind be free, to think what i want to think. Dreaming helps to, you can be whoever you want to be, if you have the spirit and imagination.
But the biggest feeling of freedom, id have to say is acting. Live acting is the key for my true freedom.
i do however belive there should be a freedom limit, if the freedoms are abused.. it is not your right to fight the government, or argue with the teachers without a just cause. The point of freedom is to protect it, and that may mean limiting it to a point. So crazy peeps dont take over the world.. :)
Freedom for me is simple its when i'm in my car or when i'm on one of my guitar
It is said that "Liberty is the freedom to choose. Freedom is the result of the right choice." It makes me wonder how much our own choices come into play in our perception of freedom. For instance, the thief when caught loses freedom. However, our circumstance also contributed. It is my guess that the Chinese during Mao's reign didn't feel very free. When it comes to these physical views of freedom, so much is relative.
Freedom of the mind, yes - I do believe that the caged bird can sing itself free. Seems a bit Taoist. That is the view of freedom I take to heart.
Freedom to me is being able to live your life the way you want without someone dictating you.. It's hard to be entirly free, there's always someone trying to run some part of your life...
For me, Freedom is having to answer to nothing and nobody, no rules or laws. I am free when I lay in my bed, turn on some solely instrumental music, and lose myself in worlds created in my head where I can be the hero, the villain, or the watcher.
To Some, it is simply driving in a car to nowhere but where the road they are currently on leads. Other it is simply sitting with a guitar and starting to play with no song in mind.
freedom is a figment of our imagination.....some stupid lie that the government came up with to make us feel like we werent being controlled by the biggest idiots in our country
In England, going around a roud-a-bout more than three times consecutively in your vehicle is an stoppable offense, no matter what the reason for the actions. What do you think freedom is now?
However, I shall not simply jump upon the anti-goverment bandwagon. Freedom can sometimes be what you make it in your own space. We may all be on this planet, but we are not all the same.
