Last night, while working on database optimization, I lost about 60 account records. As far as I can tell, the loss was limited to usernames that started with either a number or the letter 'A'.

I apologize for this, I am trying to restore the lost accounts, but it is difficult as I do not know which ones were actually erased. I was comparing backups from different days looking for discrepancies, but this is too time consuming.

If this has affected you or someone you know, get ahold of me immediately and I will try to restore your account. I have restored about a dozen so far. Time is a factor. If you wait too long before contacting me I will not be able to restore your account.

I think I have found a solution to restoring the lost account records. But it is going to put a big strain on the server, and things may be laggy for the next hour.

Gee I'm really glad I chose to go with the end of the alphabet.... If the people who's account was messed up aren't smart enought to get a hold you and go "hey what happend?!" then really... i don't think it's a big loss.

Actually they can, because you can still send him a message if your not logged in. I had problems for a few days where it wasn't letting me log in at all, and i sent him a message and got it all fixed. So yeah you can send him a message. Or at least I was able to.

I've restored all of the lost records.

There were a few things I could not restore: polls voted in (you can just vote again) and messages.
