i got this idea from the VR contest... so im going to ask wat your favorte and leaast favorite 'ism' is from modernism is? thier are Neoclassicism, Realism, Impressionism, Cubism, Futurism, DADA/Surrealsim.

i go first i reckon. my favorite style is Surrealism because of its freedom and thought that can be poured onto canvas Symbols are a great part of surrealism and i like trying to figure out the puzzle withing the picture. my least favorite is the DADA style.

Crib Death... Nice. They sound like fun pictures. I think Surrealism is always good. Realism can something get irritating though.

well I find realism futurism and surrealism to be cool. because I mean first to make a pianting looks like a photograh you know like still life and stuff take talent and i like the other two because they tap into your imagination more especially surrealism

I'll have to agree with Ravensblood on this one. But there is this one guy, Joe Coleman. I have never seen his stuff in person, but if your lucky enough to come across the disinformation DVD, they show some of his awesome works on there

jason i believe you are confused, the "ism's" refer to art styles nothing to do with your own personal self, anyways, thank you all for posting i hope to hear more of your thoughts ^_^

i would have to say surrealism too, you can do so much with that and Dali is my all time fav. i love the things he did.

picasso's cubisms(sp?) days were really good too. all his things were great. and hes thought of the father of modren art too.

his vision of cubism was great, i know it would take me forever to do something like. that the closes to it i have done was Stain Glass window type piece.

i tryed doing a cubism piece and it is hard. for my one art class we had to pick a artist to paint like and i picked picasso. god i had a hard time lol

hmm i wish i had paint now i really have some great ideas.

belief in one self is always good yes i know that classifications tend to kill things at times but the Ism isn't something to believe in. its more like an excuse to organize the art you created when you are displaying em LOL
