What your doing in this thread is good, but at the same time invites inner weakness and lack of strength and resource on behalf of the individual who doesn't learn it themselves.

Teachers and councilors are useful in their places where you need to learn and master such things as they apply to the things you do in life. you dont need a teacher to tell you who you are, but show you how to be.

Its not for learning regard, just counselling the common peepal not related to such streams. when they experience some thing strange, they hae quest in the mind by shaken withthe things and they likely to search such counseller.
If soem one with thorough knowledge or practicing, they can pull such peson out of such a confusion and surprise which ate their mind and inner.

But every situation is different, and nothing being the same can only impart what they have learned through the sheer amount of shit they have been through.

As such the student becomes a client and will not get the questions to their questions which will stir their own learning. But they will get the tools to the path which they open up for themselves as it was taught to me by my experiences and the sources i learned from.

Actually I wasn't talking about readings as consultations at all, I was talking about learning discussions. Most individuals charge for both services. I was merely stating that I charge for neither as both in their own right are learning experiances.

In all my years of occult studies iv never known of a charge to be taught by a coven.
I have paid entry fee for a rented area from a hall or public place where we need a gathering.. but that’s just good practice.

I agree, however i am coming to find that if information which takes years of study, and much hardships to gain, when freely given does nothing to stimulate the mind in the direction that it goes.

Exchange of goods for service, there is a price for everything and everything has its costs. So one of the lessons i would require of the seeker is to help me help them. Money is useful to do things like eat, and pay rent. If i am spending more hours out of my day teaching them which can be used to further my own ends instead of go over stuff that i have learned through my own lessons. I want compensation for it. I am tired of being over extended with my work and the people who have taken away from that time because they feel their education is priority over my living conditions which i work very hard to maintain.

So do i charge? You bet your ass. If its for my time, and effort, its the same as me working any temp job. My career is in the metaphysical arts, and i will not be forced to be on the streets getting all the information i have learned raped from my cold hungry carcass when i can charge those fat bastards to eat and have a warm place to sleep. But then im a materialist like that. I like warm beds, decent food, and a car that works.

I am a solitary wiccan and have practiced the craft since 2004. For someone to take on an apprentice, that person must study for one year and a day. I myself have not taken on such a task. I only belong to several online covens.

I think the counseling that is being refered to is the act of talking one through troubled times by lifes experiance and word of mouth...In this case, it depends on the experiance of the individual involved wtih either the craft, or the religious atmosphere.

Though to be Wicca or with the Craft has absolutely nothing to do with being Vampire...These are very seperate from one another.

But to have a Vampire, or a Wiccan or Ritualist counsel an individual not related to those terms, is of a mystical wiseness, but not nessessarily a reader. A master of knowledge and of the arcane.

This would be a better answer then my previous post. Though it really does depend on whether the "matter" is detrimental to the non-related's health...Mental, physical, or spiritual.
