My town doesn't have much of tolerance for pagans Wiccans etc... I live in Texas and I don't know of many place in the state that have a tolerance!

Many small town like mine would have a problem with this. Sad but true, it is what little towns never seen or want to see in their community.

I'm quite certain they would find themselves the targets of some rather juvenile harassment.

I'm not a pagan and the town I live in is rather conservative (somewhat small) but there is a massive pagan community here and generally they go about their business without harassment.

I'm in a small rural town in the Bible belt and while the next door neighbors might look twice at it unless the owners did something like wave a Pagan flag over it most would assume it was just a rock garden. Where they to put up a sign it was a pagan worship site then yes there most probably be problems.

Anyone reading this post it is not to target any religion or bash.
Honestly would like to know if such things are expectable in your town… sort of a experiment on areas and cultural expectance.
Down in Cornwall up to Bristol I think all is cool .. then it might get a bit touchy

WOW... in Canada nobody relle cares who u are. Here is Ontario everyone is so different.. but we all get along!

Lav - We have such an experiment in an area known as Short Mt. (because it's a small mountain lol) and it seems to be going well.

We are a college town so there's a ton of differing and new ideas. Down one road may be several thousand member churches, Confederate buildings and on the same road will be specialty shops, pagan iconography etc.

It's no utopia let me assure you and on 2 recent occasions Christians were on the end of an attack but over-all it's a very peaceful and understanding place.

I have to support Destiny's thoughts on Ontario. It really seems like no one really cares what you practise here. That being said, I can also understand first-hand, prevalent intolerance for anything in the smaller cities and towns (less than about 30000 people).The article was from the UK and I have also found a measure of tolerance for most things from the people in and around Manchester.

At the moment I live in a really small community (Even far from that to be perfectly honest); it's really closed-minded (Mostly) so if you're different you will get singled out ... It sucks a lot, I'm kinda glad I don't go there no more.

Where I live there is a mix of people....but you have to be careful wo you talk to and what you say. People can be very strange about thier religion. I have been banned from talking with someone simply because im not christain (i didnt say what I was.....the parents asked me if I was christain, I respectivly said no, and they slammed the door in my face). There are many stores around my house based on other paths (paganism wicca ect.) so it is easy to find someone to talk to. I dont think anyone would get stoned here tho........simply given the evil eye at worst
