I received a email from Suscitatio Enterprises I was woundering is anyone else recived a email asking you to fill in a form ?
It ask about your form of vampirism…..

In the email it said…” The long-term importance of the VEWRS & AVEWRS surveys can't be stressed enough and this will come into focus on a larger scale in May of 2009 with the publication of an academic book involving some of the information gathered thus far along with interviews from notable participants from the vampire community and an in-depth scholarly examination of modern vampirism. Now that the “vampire craze” has temporarily lessened for the holidays we’ve resumed the finalization of outlining for our own future publications and have begun writing. The independent publication in May ‘09 coupled with a paper still in the queue for Nova Religio necessitates that we stop accepting surveys and move full time into analysis and writing if we ever hope to finish this decade (over 130 additional surveys have been e-mailed to us after the initial Oct. ’07 deadline). If you have not already completed these surveys (preferably both parts) PLEASE take an hour or so tonight or this weekend/over the holidays to sit down and complete at least the VEWRS (Part 1 - Survey). PLEASE encourage others you know to complete these surveys as well - we rely on your assistance to reach as many individuals online and offline as possible.

Does anyone know of this place? Is it legit?

All informed individuals within the vampire community recieved that e-mail. Hell, I even recieved it from my House Solaris myspage account.

I went through the survey without filling it out and was subjected to very personal questions that did not pertain to the vampire at all.

They were mostly census questions regarding age, marriage status, as well as schooling or whathaveyou. I was very unimpressed.

There are credible community surveys out there, but I do not think this is one of those. Until those within certain areas within our community confirm the authority of the survey, I would leave it be.

This is actually a well known survey among certain sections of the OVC.

If you have time, I absolutely recommend filling out the survey. No personal bank information will be requested!

They may be legit but I have my doubts. The only thing I've found on them came from their own website or a few other sites that are like www.lilithis jesusesbrotherswifeforpresident.net or some anglefire type site.

Plus they don't have much specific on their history, purpose, people involved etc.

As always, use proper common sense when taking any survey be it for census or any other reason for that matter, and never give out personal information that you do not for others to see.

Further, the Dark Nations as well as many others within the community have teamed up on this project, so it is not JUST a worth while survey.

I may have been late on a couple of e-mails as well as forum messages from other sites, but my house: House Solaris has teamed up as well in this endeavor.

Please peruse the Suscitatio site and read the information before continueing on with both surveys.

Something major may happen in 2009 and later regarding our community, if you wish for other updates as well House Solaris's main myspace site is as good a place as any news regarding our community.

I assure the Rave that this 2 part survey is true and legitamate, by acknowledging one of the communities main elders as a creator of said surveys:

In addition to practice, beliefs, census data would be extremely interesting and beneficial. All analyses cross-referenced by age, education etc. might yield data that while it proves little, is still an indicator of where belief systems tend to congregate. We all like to be exceptions, but mostly we're not.

If an individual has not recieved an e-mail pertaining to the surveys, they may always feel free to peruse the survey site and download the file for their conveniance. No one is excluded from taking the surveys.

Bare in mind that it is a very very long process, took me about 3 hours per test. So please be wary of this and take it in stride.

Yes I know of them, they have been a round for some time and the survey has been filled out by many. THey have released some of their findings allready, and do do one on one interveiws on occassion. The Atlanta Vampire Alliance site is where I have seen the most work being put out on it. It seems pretty legitt to me, they are very honest in their workings and I am interested in seeing the final release.
