In my experience and conversations which various very knowledgeable individuals in this topic, I could eagerly say many,- if not almost "everything" NASA had shed on books and media about the makeup of our neighboring planets and other external agents have been incredibly covered with elementary disinformation ( in my realizations and conclusions), As I encountered the vast majority if not everyone so to speak, believed this little shroud of disinformation to the general masses, I can see a lot of skepticism surrounding other mythological topics but when is about someone that has a degree in Aeronautics everyone seems to believe them with no questions asked, hands down, the same thing happens with biology and archaeologist.

What is the safe ground you use to believe what others implement in your programing? do you believe their is 10, 9 or 8 planets that are inhabitable? Do you actually believe you could melt in Venus by the planet's temperature? Do you believe the sun to be a heating nuclear reactor? Do you believe some outer planets are actually "Gaseous"? do you believe the moon was even created here? Do you believe the agencies annexed to the governments wouldn't privatize this from us?, do you actually believe we are alone in this system?

I think that there are some planets that are habitable and others that aren't. I'm majoring in astronomy and I think that its possible for life in our own solar system even if NASA says otherwise.

I think these things would be assumed guesses based on planetary fields of scientific research on our own planet. Most of the information seems to be based on variables of "what if's" and not "this is" scenerio's.

Since planets that are still unreachable and therefore uncharted, then it would all be guess work based on Earth's own theorized data from said scenerio's.

It is very much like saying for instance, that the black hole is a magnet much like the sun, but 200 times more powerful which is why life on Earth goes through its mood swings because of the polarity shifts. Which is pure guess work, but it seems agreeable does it not?

Or why some astrology does make sense because the conclusions from a few horoscopes do concur with certain belief systems.

There is mass disinformation throughout the world, this is true regardless of belief systems. does society really think they are alone in the entire expansion of the Universe? Are they really that naive? There are other solar systems within the proximaty of our galaxy that is known as the Andromeda galaxy with Alpha Centauri which is rumoured by "conspiracy theory" to have extra terrestrial life on it which frequents our planet Earth quite often.

I do believe that there are Universal influences on societies way(s) of life that would bring about mental illness such as the bi-polar disorder and whatever other ailments that seem to present themselves amongst the psychological persona.

I could go on and on.. But it would become rambling after a while.

Short answer, no I don't *believe* we're alone in the solar system, I don't *believe* there are only 8 planets or that we'd die on Venus. Why don't I believe this? Because it isn't a matter of belief, it's not up for debate, it's fact. Not because NASA "says so" but because there has been a century plus of research made by thousands of individuals and hundreds of organisations supporting the same conclusions.

In our solar system we are alone, there are ONLY 8 planets (with at least 4 ~minor~ planets such as Pluto), the temperature of Venus would cook us to a crisp and it's atmospheric pressure would flatten you to about the thickness of a pancake and all of that other government cover-up stuff "they" tell us.

I need to correct myself,

We have approx. 40 known *dwarf* planets not minor planets. A minor planet can be basically any decent sized object (km+ diameter) that orbits the Sun, of which there are thousands.

The IAU (International Astronomical Union) currently recognizes 5 dwarf planets- Ceres, Pluto, Haumea, Makemake, and Eris.

Until 2006 the accepted scientific fact stated Pluto was a planet. Pluto was not dropped from the plant list because it changed, what changed was the officially recognized definition “planet“. As technology advances so does our understanding of the world and the universe.

I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I can readily see why if in fact there were extra terrestrials that visit earth or had been here in the past the government might cover it up. As an observable trend, beings on Earth that are capable of higher reasoning tend to react defensively towards anything new or different. Eventually once it is realized that the new thing is not dangerous gradual acceptance is given.

I think it is pretty arrogant for inhabitants of this planet to assume, based on lack of empirical data, the existence of life in other parts of the universe does not and/or can not exist.

I can see the level you all speak in, very interesting to know the limits, For those who stepped form the mainstream facade I feel relative. Is interesting how everything connects to make up "reality" in variants of opinions, how it guide or misguide individuals alike in the readers choice.

As for the topic, various of the points given in this topics are widely influenced by many scientist in the past and present, although many of the key roots of what you all assimilate as factible source are in fact in that time, the new things are kept from us and some how covered with many last era realizations and being protected with fear tactics among individual with degree of disclosure, some groups in agencies around the globes have clearances in say positions of task, The politic machine is united around the globe, therefore their agencies are controlled by themselves in a chain of elitist, this might remount in conspiracy theory, but it is not a theory no longer, their is a substantial amount of evidence to support it, is just up to the abilities of a person to discern.

scientists are listened to because they have credentials. they have years of education in the subject that they study, and devote much of their life to that discipline.

to just assume there is some sort of conspiracy seems to require more faith than just examination of facts. if you dont accept the facts, then do your own hard research and publish your findings.
