The analyst of past lives is interesting to do. So far all I saw was people wishing they were this or that in a past life, but have you ever looked and find out what you really were? In what era did you live? How you died? Did you meet a few persons in this lifetime that you knew in your past lives?

I am asking this because I wonder, does your past lives influence your current one and if so in what way? Do they influence less if you find a person who in a past life was living with you or you knew or hated etch?

Do you let your past lives help you do better? Or keep a grudge and negative memories and emotions? Did you learn from them or did they stay a complete mystery to you?

I learned that within our hands we can see if we had many past lives or not, if we have an old soul, like some say or if we are a new born one.

My hands are with several lines, and even those who have never seen them knew I had many past lives, along with an old soul. I never paid to much attention, till I actually did some research and some introspection to find out about my past lives. I found out I had at least 13 I am aware of, and have knowledge about, their history, lives and death.

Now do you think that on a personal level they can influence a person’s behaviour, path future or even choices? Do you think they can go as far as to repeat the same history as previous? For example: a murderer would resume killing in his or her new life? Or an alcoholic would be alcoholic because he or she was in their past lives? You get the idea.

What are your views? And taught on it? Or you think past lives are no real and therefore have no value or influence on the current live.

I was in the rome during the last few years of the roman empire era.

The last life that I had was in 1488. I met my wife from that lifetime now. I commited suicide after my wife and kids were killed.

Some might but i do not know if past life influenced mine, but the reasoning of growing up helped aid in my life. so if others had past lives I would say it would influence some things.

I would think that some might not be influence by it but they might influence how we deal with our surrounding or the people around us.

I know for a fact I ma a perfectionist person, and often anoying others in my expectation of perfection, du to one of my past life that was a scrib, who pride himself in writing perfectly the scroll he was in charge of.

If there truly are past lives most people are unaware of them; thus there could be little influence on their present existance. At least little influence consciously. There certainly could be some kind of "cosmic" memory.
My problem is that so many who "remember" their past lives remember being someone famous. How many women alive today could have been Cleopatra. (Well, there is Liz Taylor). More of us would have been the serfs, or the soldiers, or the victims of purges than would have been kings and queens.

Realy good thread. Im just mad I didnt come up with it myself. My past life has a great influense on me. I lived in the mid 1800 something. My soulmate or love of my life died while giving birth to our first child. This left me alone and bitter for the rest of that life. In this life Im so affraid of the upcomming birth of my child that it leaves me sleaples.

also If I may post more my GF has some problems in this life that dates back to past lifes. She drowned in her last life and this has made her fear water. She cant stand watching movies where people drown cause she says she cant breath.

Note. We didnt know about our past lifes before we got these fears. They have been there since childhood days.

My pastlife I was Santa. And before that, I was the EasterBunny! No, I wasn't! There is not enough evidence supporting any kind of thing called past lives. Sorry to 'complain', but I am just having my say. I could upload a picture of my hand on here, but I am sure the 'readers who know' would tell me something different each time. Yeah! Just because somebody can read a hand and say whatever! does not mean the next person who can read hands will say the same thing.

If you dont believe it then I wont enforce you. There are numerous religions in the world and its up to each one to make up there own believe.
Past lifes is one of the few things I believe in.

My thought is that sometimes things go wrong in our lives, for we carry karma over from our past life.

They say those who we met in this life we had some relationship in our past life with them.

When I had my astrology chart done, I was married to the same person as I am now. So there must of been sommething unfinished.

There are certainly some people I have met in this life that I should have known to avoid if I had met them in a previous life. I guess that sometimes you never learn.

Karma is a Sanskrit word meaning "action", but is generally understood to mean the consequences of one’s actions. The word "karma" is commonly used to indicate bad karma, and the word "merit" is often used to indicate good karma. The law of karma is best described as "cause and effect" because every action (or cause) has a corresponding consequence (or effect). If you plant good causes you will reap good effects, and if you plant bad causes you will reap bad effects.
In each incarnation we acquire some bad karma and some good karma. In each incarnation we suffer the consequences of some of our previous bad karma and reap the benefits of some of our previous good karma. Karma exists to protect us and to guide us back on track when we go astray. So Yes, everything you do has an effect on the future.

I go to see a respected psychic once a year. One year I had my past lives read. She was able to see a few of them. I think that our past lives always plays a major role on how we act or behave and how we interact with others.

If, as has been mentioned in another thread, there are different and parallel levels in which both our past and our future are being played out at the same time. Sort of "I am therefore I was and I will be." That being the case, is it possible then that our future lives could also infuence our present?

I am struggling with this concept at the moment. I am a student of Master Obonewits. I am convinced that I have passed and returned many times. So far, the only influence I see on my present life is that I am soul weary. Karma seems to be the key ingredient. And perfection is a very slow process. LOL!
