I have read the rules about what happens when you hit 20, this thread is not about that!

My interest goes deeper

I am interested in the thoughts of coven members about how the induct?

When a member reaches level 20 and can then be forcibly inducted does it tend to be a trend that the mentorship Sires Induct there pupils into covens or do these members end up inducted into the first coven sire that happens to realise the member is available?

Curiosity

Vlad

Most Houses and Covens on this site have their inducting philosophies on their home pages (main House/Coven page). I would look there first then, if need be, message a CM or ACM accordingly.

Wouldn't hurt to post here either.

All the covens and houses have rules. But any can forcibly induct. Doesn't matter who your daddy errr...... mentor is

If I was a Sire, I would at least have enough decency to ask people first.

Is this a test of some kind?

To see which ones are asses and which ones aren't?

No... hahaha

I wasn't asking if this thread was a test.

I was asking if being forced into a coven or house is test of the Sire's to see how they act before The Great All Powerfull Owner Of VampireRave.com

It's very easy

(this is my opinion)

The entire web site VampireRave.com is built to pull people in and keep them. This keeps out spam and other unwanted stuff, but it also keeps the number of current online members high, which in turn increases the value of the site to charge higher prices for advertisers to advertise on this site.

As there really isn't much left to offer a Sire, a Level 100 or higher, this is just thrown in as an added bonus. You see, the entire site is self ran by the members, and the members gain more privileges the longer they stay. Since the members are not awarded for any special knowledge or skill that they possess, these privileges are then nothing special.

The secrets of the houses and covens is just for the sake of curiosity and to attract people to this site, keeping people here longer than they normally would stay. As most would never join a house of coven, forced joining is done to make them appear active and more interesting to first time viewers.

ah I see

Thanks for the clarification Selective :-)

I personally looked at all the coven when I first joined and had my heart set on one in particular ;-)

but I guess others do need a push sometimes so I can see why that would be done that way

Since everyone would rather make their own coven... it gives them all incentives to stay till that Level for them to make their own. And if everyone was able to make their own right away, no one would have any members at all in theirs..... so this makes people use ones created by those that stayed on the site long enough to make one.

Those numbers control everything. :( Means anyone can reach the top and not provide the correct info people are searching for.

I used to think forced inductions seemed rude when I first joined VR. I no longer do and understand that a Master of a Coven may see someone who they feel should be part of their Coven even when the new member does not. It is part of the site and as said, if you do not understand this way, then you do not belong here. There are some wrong reasons to induct, but being chosen for the right reasons should be looked at as a compliment. The ones that bitch about getting forced into a Coven can easily wind up blind instead of traded out.

Personally, I have no issue with forced induction, more so those who have a loud and disrespectful response to such. I force induct but I offer those who contact me about the rules and requirements on mine the choice as well. More often than not the people who take issue with my methods will find that my policies if you were forced in are very fair ones.

I don't want Sires to get the wrong impression that we are moaning about how the system works

Just interested in how you think the system works and why and thank you for your responces as they have enlightened me.

I have no problem with a forced induction if someone want to force someone then that is the will but i also believe in Karma and you get what you pay for...so in other words a forced induction may just lead to a very knowledgeable member leaving or being non contributory to the coven and that in my eyes is a great loss

after all we are not roleplayers

In a roleplaying world it would be a grand tactic but I hate roleplayers and hope they burn in hell so I can tear out there soles on a daily basis when i get there...I digress sorry

the force induction thing is pretty fucking lame. when i was a 20, i was talking with 2 different sires about being in their covens and one had to pay for me to move. so sires that have no lives other then to wait online for ppl to reach 20 try to steal people and favor.

basically i blocked the staff and told them to screw off when i was forced inducted. its like a misunderstanding, they didnt even read my page that said i wont be involved with ICP and yet 3 of the 4 staff were juggle- tards

most Covens will not forceable induct ppl. Even though it is within every Covens right by VR rules. Covens tend to be a happy place to be within VR and CM and ACM's tend to want there Coven to be active and happy.

The theory behind being forceably inducted is that is the way it is done not all vampires had a choise. I dont say it is right and I dont say it is wrong...them are VR's rule so we have to live with it.

All I can say if it happens speak with the Coven Master they do listen and want whats best for their Coven.

accusing Society Master of "stealing" favours when they respect and abid by the Vampire Rave Manual, which was written by Cancer the Creator of Vampire Rave, is showing a complete immaturity, a complete lack of respect for the site Creator and His rules.

Flamming the rules that you have agree to respect when you sign on, is showing a sad sign of non belonging

Accusing Cancer of ripping off members by charging for premium features, is not only disprespectful but completly innacceptable.

The rules are there and set, you agree or not is up to you, but you must comply to them.

I do force induction, and yes I do trades, sometimes I ask for favours, sometimes I do not. And the amount depends all on the member's reaction to induction and the one asking the trade.

If I get a message rude and negative reactions then I simply blind and charge a load of favours, if the person is respectful and understand the rules and agree with them, playing faire game then, I trade with a low amount or no favours.

One thing i dont get, if you get induct in a society different then the one you want, how come it forbids you to chat with the people you were speaking with? I never stopped anyone, plus it would be stupid of me to do it.

And even blinded, they can speak to who ever they want. So I wonder why everyone is so crying and whinning about this???
