To be a vampire is to assume the devouring force archetype. so then why not embrace the whole unity that is found within the utter darkness and chaos of the abyss?
To summon Ahriman and Tiamat to embrace the path of the Ouroborous, the Setian forces?
I am that which walks under the darkest night,
in me burns the fire of the blood of poison
I am that which resonates in the deepest tones
That which is birthed in the very womb of blood of tiamat
That which is the breath of darkness
That which is the will of chaos
I am evolution, formless, and formed within the night itself
I come forth as I Am!
Such things like the above, strike deeper tones at least for me then it does all the light sided/fluffy vampirism. Isn't about time to understand the origin? working with the archetypes which birthed this construct of the soul and embrace that which a vampire is?
Over all with these questions here, how is it you integrate yourself into the will of the individual devouring force? Can you claim? What determines the path you are on if you have pledged yourself to the pursuit of life through death, through the will by consumption?
What is it that keeps you from being consumed by the darkness that you seek to become the extension of?
An easy response to this would be that the individuals who claim to practice the metaphysical or esoteric side or concept of vamp"y"re/"i"rism, have no idea what the entire orientation consists of, and do not take it that deep or seriously. Even with their own practiced want-to-be blood rites, they don't grasp the entirety of what they are trying to get into, it may seem to them that it is for personal gain and not to invoke such dark entities.
I think this would also come to mention the book entitled: The Necronomicon, though I rarely pick up this book, I have read it. It describes a bit about what you are concluding as well as asking.
But unfortunately your question is for those who would take the vamp"y"re/"i"re to a higher level and more seriously then just a lifestyle choice.
Idk about demonic origins that you speak of, but I do know full well the darkness that lurks just out of sight and thought, ready to take over if I lose control and give in fully to my instincts and bloodlust.... I choose to fight that darkness instead of embracing it, as the few times it's taken over I've not liked what followed....
I find it odd, that even after so much has been accomplished by the vampire community, such awareness has been made about its existence, that the fundamental demonic origin that has existed since the beginning of civilization has recognized that vampires extend from pre historical origin, that the Islamic and Arabic nations have since the beginning of their history, as well as the beginning of Sumerian culture gone off that point of origin for being of the blood....its not something i see as a passive lifestyle choice. Its one of action, development and evolution.
One where the devourer becomes devoured if he or she is not willful enough to survive.
