What is an 'Out of the Body Experience'?

imagine you are laying in your bed, awake...and suddenly you find yourself floating above yourself....you may travel somewhere or more often you suddenly realize your out of your body, and seem to be sucked back into it.

this is an experience that many people have had, but many that have not experienced it discount it. i know of no individuals that have experienced it to disbelieve tho LOL
